Absolute the same from me. When I was 13-14, any developed female who I found sexually attractive (be she 13-14 herself or 34) I would have definitely done it with her and been super enthusiastic if not downright giddy about it.

Assuming it had been a 34 year old, my eagerness would not have meant she wasn't doing anything wrong or wasn't taking advantage of me.

I think the fact people know how insanely horny teenage boys are is one of the major reasons older women get so much lighter sentences when they screw around with teenage boys. People assume (probably correct) she didn't have to coerce very hard.

I don't think anyone is saying teenage girls don't have sexual thoughts and desires, but we are talking on average here. The average teenage boy is probably the peak of human horniess. Were we not all teenage boys once? I know I can't have been the only one jacking it like 2-3 times a day and watching the scrambled porno channels late at night before the intertubes.

And you're 100% right that such a possible hypothetical incident with an older woman might have turned out to be very traumatic both during and after. That would totally be up to the individual and the circumstances. It's also why kids giving their 'consent' is an impossible situation to navigate, because I'm sure a ton of them do indeed later feel abused by things they supposedly consented to.

There's a strange phenomenon going on where people are taught to look back and if they didn't have memories of perfect relationships or situations it should be viewed as abuse and how they "didn't deserve" what they went through. Granted, in some cases that's true but in many cases it's just life. I remember reading a thread somewhere where a college aged girl was describing living in an awfully abusive household, her mom yelling at her and maybe smacking her a few times growing up, and also getting into fights with her siblings as they grew up together. Now, I'm unsure how to define what is actually abuse here but I was pretty amazed that this person felt as if they went though the most awful experience ever and I just felt like she probably went through a pretty normal childhood.

It's extremely hard to define here because without more information it's hard to make a good argument but it amazes me how fragile people are anymore. No wonder everyone needs therapy.

I think it's a total failure of parenting.
