I ask not because I answered it when Fly asked yesterday but because it's almost entirely uninteresting and for something as uninteresting to have piqued such interest interests me.

Braves, since it's clear from your posts that you are pretending to not know what white privilege is, I'm curious to know what you are pretending to think it means.

I understand the full scope and probably could articulate it better than anyone else in the room, however it would serve no purpose and ignores the fundamental issues it has, namely being a stereotype. Discussing the nuts and bolts of it means you must accept the premise, which the premise is logically flawed and I will not discuss it because operating in the irrational invites the irrational argument and that's so ****ing old.

To be honest, I do not think its racist, I think its just a stereotype but, seeing as how some here think stereotyping based on race is racism, I've adopted the commonly accepted definition, as presented by MrWookie, i.e. "racial stereotypes are racist".

Let's say ur definition is the correct one. That is not the definition everyone here is using and as such, all ur bs does not apply to this definition.

The definition does not matter, its a stereotype. Its like asking for the definition of bad driving when someone says "Asians are bad drivers".

Well one more response from me then I'm done. White privilege is not a quality or characterist in me. It is something that has been bestowed on me by society. I can't get rid of it or acquire more of it. It is just there. I do however benefit from it.

In avoiding the question you are licensing the trolling, like you've made thousands of posts on this topic and decide this is the question you won't answer.

You should answer it, that way I can explain to you why others doing things differently doesn't change anything. There were poor decisions and posts made by a lot of posters during that time, including me, but nothing anyone else did or did not excuses Bruce's posts.

There's no question that I avoided - it's a classic troll where if I keep answering them it's me going on about it and if I don't answer them then it's because of me. Only they are responsible for their trolling just like only Bruce is responsible for his bad posts

but I agree with you. They made up that I have excused Bruce's bad posts. It's still the case that others made poor decisions and bad posts (including me) and we are all responsible for what we each did and didn't do. The fiasco was more than just the bad posts by Bruce.

That's exactly my point. There's absolutely nothing involved in the actual concept of white privilege that involves any stereotyping, which is why I want to know what definition you're pretending to use here. Calling the premise of white privilege logically flawed is like saying 2+2 = 4 is logically flawed. So, it makes much more sense that you are using some odd definition of the term than that you are trying to claim that something so obviously true isn't.

The poor decisions of others are significantly less relevant to the discussion at hand. They did not dictate Bruce's response and so explaining them offers 0 mitigation for Bruce's behaviour

No, it's like if someone says, "I like lasagna." And you reply with, "lasagna is a stereotype" and they think about it a minute and assume that you must not know wtf lasagna is because your sentence makes no sense at all. So we want to know wtf you think "white privilege" means, because you're certainly not using the term in the way that anyone else is.
