Watched 5-10 games recently and he hasn't really been annoyingly whiny at any point.

Too lazy to add links (google) but just to include all positions:
Zekent (top/support)
Nhat Nguyen (support)

thx for mentioning. As just about the only one who liked the old TT, I'm kinda excited/scared to see how the new map will be.

The "raid boss" seems kinda weird to me, the place isn't nearly enough hidden/isolated and it seemed pretty hard to kill in some video, can you realistically even look to kill it unless like 2 opponents are dead?

Just played one, spider boss goes down fairly fast. Also, the platforms give 4 gold/last hit if you control one, if you control both you get a small (10%i i think?) damage bonus plus the 4 gold/last hit (and some other small bonus i now cant remember). If you capture one it gets locked for 90 seconds, so every 90 seconds or so there is an objective fight trying to grab those. There is also a large sized speed shrine in the center of the map in between the 2 altars. Spider boss gives you the old TT buff i think, same name at least.

Two altars gave 10% AD and AP, iirc. The old TT dragon gave 280g/player and (level)% increase in all damage, the new Spider buff is closer to Baron buff with hp/mana regen, AS and CDR.

Been playing Ashe on beginner vs comps. Any builds or tips for her? I have been going mid with random support and creeping so far

Standard build on most Ad carries is boots+3xpots -> 2xdorans -> zerk greaves + vamp scepter -> BF Sword. You can mix-n-match or skip components depending on your game. The exception is if you plan on building Triforce (for e.g. Ez and Corki) but you don't want that on Ashe. Occasionally you will see people build Wriggles if they have a tough lane. It can be a nice crutch when you're learning to lane with an AD Carry but it hurts your late game.

Then either you finish a BF item (Infinite Edge/Bloodthirster) or you go zeal and then finish a BF item. Then buy (if you haven't) and upgrade zeal into Phantom Dancer.

Next item depends on the game and your champ. Either take some defense (Guardian Angel or quicksilver sash) or keep stacking AD with IE/BT or you build armor pen with Last Whisper. There's a big debate whether some AD carries need LW at all but Ashe def needs it imo. Even if people don't stack much armor it's still usefull cause you remove their natuarl armor and it adds AD as well and then you're prepared in case they suddenly start stacking when you are melting people left and right.

Can't wait to try out the new spider champ. Hopefully she will be good unlike the last 2 released champs.

I played one game with her on my team but couldn't really gauge her strength. We pretty much lost every lane and surrendered at 25 lol

Advice for new players:

Try a lot of champs. It's a good idea to play with the champs you are familiar with but you might find someone you like better. Playing a champ even once can give you an idea of their play style, even of you don't like them you will do better against them in the future.

I have a terrible habit of abusing a small number of champs. I leveled up to ~25 just playing Nasus. And I still have less than 10 champs in good with. Terrible way to play IMO.

^ I'd disagree with this strongly. Not having to constantly re-learn champion's mechanics allows you to focus on other aspects of the game. You learn how to play matchups and don't have to sit there and fail through trial and error of how new champions work. I've also seen this reccomended by a few top pros.

Havent played gainst her yet, but from watching the spotlight her kit looks pretty good. That has the be the best escape (or pseudo initiation/catching skill) in the game, plus she has a ranged stun and sustain? Also she has that same OP Jayce ability of being able to level 2 different skills every time you level up since she gets her ult at lvl 1 and can switch between spider and human for 2 sets of skills. Long-ish cooldowns look like the only drawback, plus squishyness, and not sure about base stats etc.

Edit: Wait, can she only repel to units and not just a random location? OK that changes a lot, not at all as ridic as it first seemed.

I have to agree with punch here. Not so much with a small pool of champs specifically, but with a lane. use the first 10 or so levels to find out what lane you enjoy, then really hammer that lane down with 3-5 champs. I feel like tht is still probably too high for punch, but it makes it a little less boring.

I also +1 wolfs description for ashe.

actually lots of people did this, like rapidstar, krepo

probablly means all new players should just play cryo for 100 games and that'll be good
