All,

If anyone here knows BBB624 well please let him know I'm urgently looking to speak to him. I would appreciate anyone who is able to reach out to him directly.

Pretty well run tournament.

My only gripes were:

1. Lack of cage knowledge on how to do payouts
2. You really can't facilitate a chop better than that? I know Parx is able to adjust the numbers accordingly.
3. The color up at the end of the night is sooo stupid. Mimic Parx structure please. They got rid of the color up before the last level of the night.

Has anyone been to SugarHouse today? How are the roads in the area?

Roads are good as long as you are not a dolt and drives like a logical person in the snow.

Question about comps. How long can you not play in the room before they take them off of your card? I was gone for 5 weeks and when I came back the person working the front desk informed me they were removed from my card. I was given a "favor" and had them put back on, but 5 weeks seems odd as a time limit.

Anything official on this? I could not find anything on the website about the poker room comp rules. Thanks

Does anyone have the date/time when the new poker room is opening?

Also, is anyone interested in playing $1/$2 Pot Limit Omaha/No Limit Hold'em, a half and half game, rotating 9 hands of each? Switch games when the dealer button is on the 9 seat. Liven things up a bit. Sugarhouse could make this a featured game.

Comps come off in 30 days. They do not advertise.

Additionally, in order to use your comps for food/drinks in the casino, a manager must transfer the $ from one system to another manually as they do not talk to each other. They will also not tell you this. The only thing to do to insure you receive your comps and that they will be able to be used when you need them is to request a transfer every time you are leaving the room for the day.

I believe having the manager move the comps is only necessary if you are using your comps the same day that you earned them. I am pretty sure they now transfer over once every 24 hours.

Raye, I really think your cheaper daily tournaments would do so much better if you put a small guarantee on them. Even just a $500-$1000 guarantee would get you 40-50 entries instead of the 10-20 that I've seen. I play a lot of the guaranteed tourneys and would play more of the cheaper ones as well if there was even a small guarantee. If you need to up the buy in a little to do it, that's fine with me, but I think the market has proven that a guaranteed prize pool brings in more players and if you ever do have an overlay, it will be made up for in the long run.

Thumbs up. I'd rather see them a hair more expensive, but with a guarantee.

Clarification on this would be great. I have only dealt with this once and it was fixed in 2 minutes by moving the comps over and it was not the same day and admittedly, a few months ago so maybe it is fixed now.

But not too long ago, I watched a player pulled away from the table for ~20 mins, even though he offered on the spot to pay cash and didn't seem to care about whatever was or wasn't on his card. The desk person came over, was extremely dismissive of his wanting to just play and insisted he explain the situation at the desk. All he said when he finally returned was that Raye had explained the comp system 2 nights prior and after 2 sessions, that $ amount should have covered the food since he had not purchased anything else since.

Just checked my comps at the swipe screen in the poker room. All of my comps are showing from play the other day and I haven't asked for them to be added.

So a guy bets 10 dollars out of turn. The guy who was skipped over says "I didn't check" they say correct, the guy who was skipped now bets 10. Action on guy who bet 10 out of turn. Can he raise?

Spoiler:
floor here ruled yes. I always thought if the bet is 0 or 10 here he can only bet 10, anything else he can do whatever?

That's a correct ruling. If the player checks, the out of turn bettor must bet 10. If the player bets, all options are open.

Better question,

Why would that player even considering betting? If you have a good hand you should check and then make the person who bet $10 still bet $10 and c/r him.

Good question ... I even read about the new room opening in one of the poker mags - can't remember which one and it was originally posted in here that it was supposed to be mid-November. That has come and gone

So, what's the deal?
