Who knows, maybe after the Pokerstars event Rick will do a two plus two tourney. They start online reservations soon so it willbe easy. As for 5/10 I would play but I think a lot of limit players are there for the hught hand which does not matter what limit. Even fw gets one table when it's going.
Last, ms players cards. I have like 800 points at fw mainly because they give points for tourneys and sng, unless ms changed it we don't get anything for them, just cash games. If we did I would have had my card twice by now, kind of sucks and one of my pet peves of ms, my reward for giving fw my business is free rooms and food I have accumulated and for ms it's a nice place with cool people, go figure?

2/4 3/6 are regular. 4/8 is frequent 5/10 is usually but as of late not.

there is also a list of interest on the weekends for some other things, like 2/4 horse or 4/8 omaha, 1/2 pot limit omaha, etc

they have three levels : Player, Wolf, and Sagamore.

they give you player.
to get Wolf you need 800 points.
Sagamore is 1600 points

1/2NL gives you 2 points/hour

Just for the record, MS doesn't have a black card equivalent. Like ghostlove said, they have Wolf and Sagamore, which are equivalent to Gold and Platinum at FW. FW black card is earned at poker only, and MS has no *poker only* card.

What does fw blck card entail. Mohegans highest level card gets you pretty much the same if not all right. 1600 points is much easier to attain I think when you receive 2pts at 1/2 3 pts at 2/5 and four points at 5/10. I know the only difference I can think of is the lock box at fw. What is it for their black card neways....75 days and 500 hours in a calender year.

well remember at mohegan you have to accumulate those points within a 6 month period. not sure what the time period is at foxwoods.

Right. The FW equivalent (Gold/Platinum) to the MS cards (Wolf/Sagamore) are also a fixed 6 month period. The FW black card is 75 days and 500 hours within a rolling 12 month period.

What I was pointing out is that the Black Card is *poker only*. The Gold, Platinum, Wolf, Sagamore are all general gaming cards - they can be earned through any combination of poker, slots, table games, etc. MS doesn't have a card that is earned through *poker only*. You can't compare the Black Card to any of the other FW or MS cards - it's apples and oranges.

Ya that's right I forgot about that peroid. But just playing the advocate here...wouldn't you rather be able to accumulat points playing all games? With the same benefits. Or back to my question what is the special benefit of having a poker only card

With the Black Card you earn 2x points at poker. Any other benefit from it is also a benefit of the Gold/Platinum Card. A lot of Black Card holders are also Gold Card holders too, because they qualified for both.

Personally I'd rather have the Mohegan Wolf card than the Foxwoods Black card. Double points are nice and all, but there are actual benefits (like lounge access, discounts, and comps) that come with the Wolf card. And though it is a shorter time frame, it is still a little easier to get the Wolf card if you are a regular. 500 hours no matter what poker game at Foxwoods, or 400 hours MAXIMUM at Mohegan (playing 1/2).

Agreed. Similarly I'd rather have a Gold card than a Black card. I'm Gold now (used to be Platinum), and couldn't give a **** about the Black card.

I do believe that the Poker rm is rated, per hrs played during Oct 31 thru March 31, then March thru Oct.
Durning that 6 month period, or part of. If your on course to be a Wolf card, or Sagamore, you can ask the persons in charge of the Poker rm to look into upgrading your Card. they're alot of $2/$4 limit players who've got Sagamore playing 1000 hrs, not the points. That's just under 39 hrs a week. Half that for a Wolf card.
Also every month they put out a list of the top 150 hourly players, & you get a $10 free food @ the Deli across from the poker rm. You get on that list your heading for a Wolf/Sagamore upgrade.

Also dependnt on Floor person, most will allow the play, ( Heads Up cash games ) to play out, if you do this again, your hand is DOA.

Now's here's the best part, you can tell the other player what you have, No problem...... Cash games Heads up play, tournaments you can't tell the truth about your hand.

Played a really long session of 2/5 at Mohegan yesterday. 2 of the asian players/regs at my table who were friends were softplaying each other - everytime they were in a hand, if it got heads up between them they turned their cards over and checked it down.

Unless I'm mistaken, this is blatant collusion, and I attempted to point it out to the table and call the floor over - My main problem being that if they are in a 3-4 way hand,it's easy to see that you are playing against effectively one player with 4 cards (as they'd both always come along) and occasionally allow for see-sawing other players.

Of course the table flipped out at me, and some big slob with a terrible accent and a tendency for yelling gay slurs proceeded to berate me for a good 5 minutes with NOT A PEEP from the dealer to refrain from the foul language.

I ended up moving to a much juicer table, but I thought this was completely unacceptable and classless from a place attempting to establish itself as a legitimate poker room - and it didn't help when I called the floor over (smaller asian man) that he did not bother to really heed my comments nor talk to the players about their actions, and just stood their scratching his ass while hearing the continued verbal assaults of the other players.

Keep the "regs" happy favoritism is /sadpanda.
