Does anyone have a sense for what to expect from this WSOP Circuit series based on past experience? Thinking about playing one of the multi-day weekend events and would be interested to know how crazy Saturday morning registration is going to be etc. Thanks!

What is your recommendation to avoid loosing time? Register earlier Saturday morning? Register the day before?
Also, are there much more people on day 1d compared to day 1c?
Thanks!

Last flight always has a decent amount. But that 1c will also be crazy busy.

Lines move decently quick. But getting there 30 min prior to an hour will benefit you reg.

Gl dude

I won't be there I'll be at turning stone

Have they been running sit-n-goes since they moved the tournament desk to the dungeon downstairs?

Have not heard any announcements over the speakers. With the WSOP-c coming, you think they would try and do some before the 1st event

I (and many others) got an e-mail a couple weeks ago from EPT (Pub Poker League) indicating Foxwoods had let them know about the tourney floor changes, and that FW would not be able to accommodate the EPT 36k championship event that had been scheduled for late October. They are deciding on moving it to Mohegan or one of the other EPT partner locations.

Does this event not typically bring in a boat load of players ?

Surprised they would not / could not accommodate the event based on how many players this typically brings in.

The EPT has been there for the past 4 EPT end of season tournament. They had approx 950-1000 entries over a two-day 1's. Every table in the tournament area upstairs was used. They even had a real "**********" table built with lights.

I hope the EPT players decide on moving it back to MA.

Mohegan wouldn't be able to accommodate them with only 42 tables for cash and tournaments so I'm not sure how they are even an option. It's too bad, these EPT players were heaven sent for the cash games all week the past few years.

EPT is exploring bringing it to mohegan, using a ballroom set up. Obviously the poker room is too small to handle it. Hope this happens as the cash games at foxwoods those weekends were amazing.

That wouldn't appear to be financially feasible. They charge an arm and a leg for use of their ballroom. The other issue would be the inability to staff dealers for another 40-50 tables on top of Mohegans regular room.

I agree it would be great for the cash games but I have trouble envisioning Mohegan being a viable option.

WOW that is dumb. So what are they going to do with all that space, anyone hear any rumors? Foxwoods was the always the place for tournaments in the NE. They used to host WPT, then WSOP now it will be a few tables in the dungeon? I can't believe they are throwing that money away.

From what I can tell, that space will still be used for the really big tournaments. The upcoming WSOP events are going to be up there. The reason the regular daily tournaments down there was to get them more visibility. Cash players can more easily see how many tables are going and are more likely to register.

I always hated playing tournaments at FW when they were mixed in w/the cash games. Total Cluster **** ! Hard time seeing the tourney clock, and sometimes not being able to determine if the table across from you is a cash game or part of your tournament without walking over there, and examining what chips they are using.

I liked the upstairs model.....

Hopefully they at least separate the tournament tables from the cash games a bit more than in the past....

FWIW, as a cash player, I am not anymore likely to play Tounaments.

^This... I'm zero percent more likely to enter a tourney because its being played in the back of the dungeon. As usual Foxwoods: stupid idea!!!

But there are people who play both cash and tourneys. This move makes it more convenient for them.

My guess is they plan to mothball the area, just like they did with part of the Rainmaker Casino.

I was at Bellagio last year playing 40/80..... The 100K was running and it was completely scattered across tables in the room. 100K MTT table between 1/2-2/5..20/40..... Like one clock in the room. Enough players busted, 2/400 mixed cash game broke out next to us..... 100K min stacks....
*** did not play

I was at fw last night playing 1-2 nl.

The games were awful- the worst I've ever seen them. At times they played ridiculously tight. Very few large stacks. A lot of stuck, angry players...too, more than I've ever seen. Few drinking, having a good time, there to gamble, etc... most people were there to win. More people buying in short than usual. Most people only willing to part w/ 1 or 2 buyins. I played at 4 tables over 14 hours.

Personally, I'm done with 1/2. If I have to try and beat serious players, might as well play bigger.

That being said the game is still very beatable.

People like me. My main priority is to have fun. If I win, great. If I don't, no biggie.
