Plz explain why this would be true? I think its a slam dunk for poker anyway they can grab market share from the entire I-95 corridor and SE mass. I mean if you are planning on playing poker I dont know why you would drive the extra distance to play @ FW or MS all things being equal. They would be grabbing market share from TWO major cities (Boston, and Providence)

Dont know about the whole week but black Friday is usually one of the busiest days of the year in the poker room IME.

Just my opinion. But I predict it'll be a smallish poker room and game selection won't be great. Have fun trying to wrangle the limit players away from Foxwoods. It'll be hard for them to get any mid-high staked limit game running. Sure, 1-2NL and 2-4 limit will go, but how will it be after 2am? Will 2-5 NL only run Fridays and Saturdays and weeknights? 5-10 won't go.

Yea yea yea, I fixed it. you know what I meant.

Gas station is open. And prices look pretty good. Much better than I thought they'd be. I wonder if it's 1:1 on points there. If anyone finds out about the points used there please fill us in. Thanks.

Was just about to ask this. Mohegan recently changed it so that if you use points it's no longer 1:1. It'd be great if someone there today can find this out, and also if tier card discount can be applied (Crown 5%, King 10%, etc).

I have asked twice and they are ignoring me, which makes me think that the answer is no

Yes typically when they dodge a question the answer is negative.

Foxwoods Resort Casino While Foxwoods Rewards Members will be able to use their rewards points to purchase at 1 point per $1 purchased at Pequot Outpost and Burger King, the cost of the gas is 1.5 points per $1 purchased.

How much can you purchase the Mobil Gift cards for? Would that wind up being better?

Nope, worse. GC's are 87.50 for $50.

Thanks for the correction. Makes sense given the ratio at the station. Is that true for all GC's now or just gas cards?

Is the BK open? I could have sworn I saw people walking into the poker room with BK bags last week.

sad story about the passing, esp at fifth street...after going there there yesterday i swear it will be my last meal there ever.

it's pretty tough to get in three somewhat healthy meals a day at foxwoods. even just being there the last two nights i feel so ****ty today. finally started hitting up panera, and subway is usually my lunch go to but are there other quick eats type places to get at least a somewhat healthy meal in? could use some place/food recs.

glad to have finally been on a sick action table late last night as the games were pretty weak the last couple days. 2/5 game was probably playing as big (avg pot wise) as 5/10.

I have been looking myself. Not many healthy quick options. Fuddruckers has grilled chicken and turkey burgers that are decent.

Burke has a raw shellfish appetizer and a few different salads.
Alta strada has a couple yummy salads and pizzas, which are actually healthy if you forego the fatty Italian meats.

Not too much variety but...

Steak and eggs at Veranda in the morning, a salad somwhere for lunch, and a salmon wth veggies at Hard Rock or a trip to shrine for all-you-can-eat sushi for dinner. Among other options, as well. Keep granola bars and/or apples/bananas in your backpack (assuming you have one...if not, do it) for snacks. Finding healthy options at Foxwoods really isn't that hard....or anywhere, for that matter. Just a tiny bit of effort and planning goes a very very long way.

I'm a fan of the salads at CPK. Lots of variety in their salads.

They do have that quinoa salad which isn't bad. And quinoa is a superfood.

Yep, was just gonna mention CPK. Salads there are fairly large too.

I like the $10 bison burger (much better health wise than a regular burger) at the Cedar's lounge/bar. One of the better values on the property. I'm sure you can substitute a side salad instead of fries, though the sweet potato fries are amazing.

And +1 to Shrine all you can eat sushi. They definitely don't skimp on the fish like most all you can eat sushi deals. *There are only 5-6 rolls to choose from, one of which is a California.
