Higher variance in PLO is nobodies friend. Since I never play table games, when I want to ''gamble" I play low limit PLO vs. -ev table games.

$30 for absolute crap or $100 for an excellent meal......which is the better value?
To each his own

I am by no means an expert at PLO either but I think I am above average. Is it possible to fold middle set and a flush draw on flop? No straight out there

I knew he had top set but I still think you have to call. The problem was the 3rd guy who couldnt fold the nut flush draw for his stack

Anyone seen this girl playing $1-$2 last night, I think in the 70s. She was pretty cute, and had monster boobs with the lowest cut shirt possible. Seen her there the last couple of times I've gone down.

Congrats to everyone at her table. No idea if she is any good, but she looks really really smart.

Can't say that I laughed but this did entertain me.

Yeppers. Hardrock sucks. Shrine at 6pm to 8pm, mon. thru thurs, for unlimited sushi, $20. David Burke has decent surf and turf items and great wine. Craftsteak is good, but expensive. I'd just go to David Burke. Fifth Street for just some quick calories when you don't want to leave the table. Want to try Alto Strada, but haven't yet. Cedars is comme si, comme sa. Buffet at Rainmaker square is good for getting a quick breakfast down the gullet, but questionable for other meals.

Really want to check out High Rollers for bar food from what I've heard.

Fifty bucks a person for a meal is not expensive. Can't think of too many places in Boston where you will escape with less pain. (certain ethnic joints, of course. Like El Orientale de Cuba, Jamaica Plain. mmmmm, tasty)

Ate there at the bar late Wed night, most other options were closed. Sirloin strip w/onion butter sauce, fries, and chicken skewers were all tasty. G+Ts were potent. Fair price, IMO.

Cute bartender w/great cleave.

Give it a shot.

Thanks for this tidbit. I've never been to Shrine but heard the Sushi is terrific. I'm rarely there midweek though... But when I am I may check it out.

Loved the shock on peoples face today when they said... there's a list at 10AM!! Yea... cuz there aren't any dealers! Went down to waste 4 hours and 80 bucks at 2/4... suceeded at both! Knew I was going to have a bad day right away, cuz i won like 4 small pots in a row for $20 profit off of the old geezers and then flopped a set of kings and by the river 2 people with an 8 in their hand made straights, then flopped a set of 2's and lost to a flush. Hard to not lose when your 0 for 2 when u flop a set. Thats what I get for playing 2/4 though, should play 4/8 omaha, at least I expect to lose when i flop a set there!

I wouldn't go as far to say Hard Rock is complete crap. It is certainly not on the level of Prime but I mean it is literally like more than 50 percent cheaper for a decent enough meal.

I like Hard Rocks food better than what The Stadium had. I am not surprised Cedars still sux I still haven't given it a second chance and now it sounds like I may not.

Pretty sure I will be down there next week for a few days.

How was the turnout for the 300 anyone know?

Can someone explain how PTseats works? Do i reserve my seat and then pick it up when I get there, or do I pay with a credit card or something? And is there an additional charge at all?

went to use it this morning....from what i understand you pay with a card and get a receipt- you bring the receipt to the tourney ( separate line) and thats that-

and yes there is a fee - from the site:

You will be charge the price of the buy-in selected + online fee (see % below):
6% on transactions from $1 to $100
5% on transactions from $101 to $250
4% on transactions from $251 to $500
3% on transactions from $501 and up

def agreed, hard rock is more than acceptable if you're not trying to go fancy, and you can pay for your whole meal at hard rock for what an entre costs at burke!

Burke > Craftsteak > Alto strada > Hard Rock / Golden Dragon > Cedars

Ok...Ok....full disclosure, I have a kneejerk aversion to national chain theme restaurants.(Hard rock, planet hollywood, rainforest cafe, etc.) I admit this maybe snobbery on my part, but I am at peace with that.
