Was talking with a friend of mine about Michigan Poker. We have more of a critical mass than just about any place other than Vegas. Yes, So Cal has a few huge rooms and its own scene, but doesn't seem to have the same sort of dynamic nor number of options. We have what I call a "Competitive Camaraderie". My theory is a Competitive Camaraderie is one of those things that results in mutual success. Sort of like The Beatles, or any number of the Poker "Mobs" from a few years ago. Just look at the interaction in this thread as an example. We should be breeding some pretty competitive players. If there is a second "Boom" I expect to see a bunch of Michigan names rise to the top.
