The Venetian is still getting 2 each of the 4/8, 8/16 and 15/30 o8 games most days. Even after the super bowl. The 1/2/5 5card plo8 has run every night but Sunday, and usually kicks off around7-8 at night. Haven't seen a mixed game here yet, although 1 night when the big o got 6 handed we added a round of pl 2-7 triple draw and a round of pl ace-5 triple draw. From what I hear the aria gets a 12/24 mixed game most nights.

1-2-3...
1-2-3...

It's nine o'clock on a Monday
The Regular nits shuffle in
There's an old man playing next to me
This Fish just called my all-in!

He says, "Son, can you stake me a Donkament?
I won’t buy no hookers & blow”
But he called me a cheat when he took a bad beat
So I shook my head and said: “No."

Oh, blah blah de blah-blah
La la, di daaaa you’re so dumb

Chorus:
Deal me a hand, you're the dealer, man
Deal the bad beat tonight
Well, I’m no mood for floding preflop
So shut up and deal cards, alright?

Now George on the Floor is a friend of mine
He sits the donks next to me
And he's quick with a joke or to pocket a toke
But there's someplace that I'd rather be
I say, "George, this high rake is just killing things."
As I lost yet another dumb race
"Well I'm sure that I could crush on Poker Stars
If I could still access the place"

Oh, blah blah de blah-blah
La la, di daaaa you’re so dumb

And the waitress is slower than my grandpa
As the businessmen slowly get stacked
Yes, they're playing a game they call Omaha
But it's better than Playin’ Black Jack

Chorus
Deal me a hand, you're the dealer, man
Deal the bad beat tonight
Well, I’m no mood for floding preflop
So shut up and deal cards, alright?

Now Frank is a Poker podcaster
Who never flops less than a set
But he's bluffin' at Gambit, who's runs hot goddamnit
And his default is always to bet

It's a pretty good crowd cus of Black Friday
And Jose gives me a smile
He knows that it's me that’s payin’ to see
‘Cause he’s been betting light for a while
And the felt, it smells like an old stale beer
And the donkey-donks all stack off with air
And they stare in my eye and then fold with a sigh
And ask, "Man, what were you holdin’ there?"

Oh, blah blah de blah-blah
La la, lol Donkaments.

Chorus:
Deal me a hand, you're the dealer, man
Deal the bad beat tonight
Well, I’m no mood for floding preflop
So shut up and deal cards, alright?

Congrats O8!

I don't have a recent win but I min-cashed the Feb 5 tournament I played.

Played another yesterday and for the first time executed a double min raise. Not saying it was a good play or anything but I thought it was a funny spot to be in and never even considered doing this so I gave it a whirl. 400/800 blinds, I'm SB with KJo, the whole table folds around, I decide to just call and play the flop with BB (I like this guy, we'd been donkin' around a little). He ends up min raising to 1600, I decide to 3 bet to 2400. I dunno, I thought it was funny cuz it just seems like such a dumb play and I could probably get a good wtf reaction. He calls, I flop a K, bet on turn and he folds. I busted at 1/2k when I had 36s in the BB, check my option, flop a straight with 457, but lost to the guy who flopped a bigger straight with 68.

Thanks, DeuceFive. Interest is high for playing at Trips Kings and/or Electric Stick tournament. Would be cool to meet you when I go. Maybe for the 3-person team tournament this Sunday.

This was the first hotel I ever stayed at in Vegas, and the basic suite was easily the nicest room I've ever been at in my life.

Ha, yeah that part of the article you linked made me laugh. I didn't know that's what it was before.

I stayed at the palazzo in 2010 and 2011, and the Venetian in 2012. The suites are definitely phenomenal, if you like a large nicely decorated room with a tv in your bathroom.

But, I was there for work and they picked the place. It was $250 per nigh in a room I was in for 15 hours for the entire week.

I would never pay my own money for that in Vegas, but they are great and easily best I've stayed in there, and I have stayed in almost every hotel out there at some point.

The legendary atarirob went busto after the dinner break. It was a rollercoaster of a tournament. Bricked damn near every hand in O8 and lose half my stack. Got rolled up heads in stud8 twice to get me back near average everytime. Blahhh..

I had two really good players, two old men that couldn't read their hands, and two older ladies that I was flirting with the whole night "don't worry dear, blonde hair and big tits never go out of style". We were amused by how awful the dueling piano shoe is at the Palazzo. Shocked someone gets paid to sing so off key.
The free drinks and free shots were really taking it's toll after about 8 hrs, once the seal was broken it was a battle to run to the bathroom. I usually did this during the stud round since the hands take longer to play out. I died during Omaha. With 5bb, Ah3ThQ vs A2xx with two clubs. I got clubbed and couldn't bink a 2 for low.
I had fun but im with a pretty grumpy tournament nit. His logic on tournament play and why cash isn't a good way to make money is draining on me. I wish I recorded his rant on why you should limp JJ with 8bb at a FT near the money bubble. I guess you can find a laydown.

Sorry, bro. Wish the cards and the singing had been better. Lol on your pick up lines for the old ladies.
