The process of receiving Express CompsTM for poker play, will be changing temporarily

Italicized is theirs.

Hope you're not right.
When I copied and posted the FAQ about Borgata poker for some reason the word "temporary" didn't carry over as being italicized (hope that's the right word). It was italicized in the Borgata FAQ, hopefully for a reason. I won't be back until May but maybe the poker room manager can tell us more.

Btw what are people seeing comp wise on their booking calenders?
I am seeing Su-Th comped barring a couple of mid week days early may and one Friday- 5/14. This is worse than what I used to have in the past - every day comped except the odd Saturday not. However it's good enough that I fear this is the new normal.

FWIW I play mostly (but not exclusively poker) and average 17-18 comp$/day.

at the food court, i have to tell the cashier to use poker comps and not regular mgm comps to pay.

once you move $ from the poker system to the regular mgm system, it's only valid for 24hrs then you lose it if not used.
so i only move enough to pay for the meal.

the only way to know how much poker comps you have is to ask a supervisor to check.
there's no way to check it yourself.

Hopefully, Borgata isnt switching to this archaic system!
For the love of Jesus pleeze don’t do this Borgata. I feel like I have to ask for a favor every time I ask a supervisor to load my card and sometimes I get to the restaurant and find out my card wasn’t loaded so I have to walk all the way back to the poker room. If Borgata starts doing this crap too I will play in Philly

I used to have to do this at MDL and select the restaurant and amount I needed which was a huge hassle. Sometimes the kiosks were down and the line at promotions was 20 min long. That's why I lost over 300 I had left on my card after it expired I was saving it up for a weekend room then poof gone.

I've been away from the Borg for more than a (pandemic) year and now all my comps are gone. Although this is understandable and I'm willing to pay a decent price for a room and start building up my comps again, the weekend price for a standard room can be as high as $523 per night!

This seems... insane.
Any suggestions to get a discount?
Someone to call? Beg? Sleep with?
Otherwise, it's cheaper to fly to Vegas for me!

Thanks!

it seems mgm is really nuking poker players
i went from 2 nights a week almost any night (could get 80 percent of saturdays) to 1 night a week sun-thurs and my average hours per day actually went up after the reopened.

I lost my comps briefly after a year away. It only took one 12 hour 2/5 session to get them back. Now I get 7 days a week but can only book 3 weeks out.

My advice to anyone who’s lost comps. Pick a random weekday and grind hard. Or if it must be a weekend stay somewhere cheap and give borg your action. You should get your free nights back. I know I did.

Of course these new changes are unknown with the impending system merge. Things may change again.

I've never stayed at any of them but there are many motels on route 30 in Absecon. They have to be cheaper.

Last week was my first time in Borgata for a long time as well. I definitely hope to see plexiglass gone soon (not as fussed about the masks, if that's necessary). Seeing someone talk two feet away from you and not hearing a single hint of a sound come through is just nut low. Personally I would love for the games to stay 7-handed, but I realize that's probably a pipe dream, the economics of live play just don't support that as the optimal solution absent pandemics.

Been trying to log onto the Borgata website today.
Reminder to self.
Don't, you'll only get a headache.

Today is the day they're closed. I asked my supervisor contact how long the update will take and she had no idea. I don't even remember my log in credentials bc they were stored in my phone. I wonder how many people showed up at the casino today to gamble and were turned away...not a good image.

What is the latest rumor as to:
1. Will players continue to earn Tier points for playing poker at Borgata?
2. How many tier points will be earned per $1 spent on dining etc at Bortata?

Anyone successfully logged into Borgata website? I tried and it says my password doesn't work, tried resetting and it says my email is not registered to an account. So I try to make an account and it says I already have an account. ????

And MGM rewards support number doesn't have option for Borgata yet

I got in. Only quirk is my password is my mgm password not my borgata password. All my info looks the same and comp offers haven’t changed so far as I can see.

I'm able to log in. My mgm and borgata credentials were always the same.
I don't see any comp offers still. I have room offers that look normal.

I liked the borgata webpage format better than the mgm format. oh well.

I hate the fact that I can't see my booked rooms on the calendar anymore I have to switch between two pages and go back and forth.

Ok was able to get access after waiting on the phone for 35 mins for support. Apparently they had to merge my borgata M Life with the other M Life accounts from other properties. Am able to log in now afterwards.

Took a few minutes to figure out how to access comped rooms, happy to see that the comped rooms are still there. Also found out I can get Fiore rooms comped for weekdays, yay! I've never gotten that before so happy to try out sometime in the future. It's funny how you can now choose to not use the comps and pay full price for rooms lol

Don't know if it has any bearing on what you guys are talking about, but I just played an eight and a half hour session and have been up from the table for about 20 minutes and see no tier credits or comp dollars in my account from the session.
