The key is that it's not charged as a cash advance which charges rediculous fees. Even at places that do consider tournament buyins as cash advances, can you use a debit card without any fees?

My TC level makes sense with the observation that only some MGM properties give TCs for spending. I jumped to Pearl after one 4-day trip to Aria in May, but I've hardly made any progress towards Gold after several weekend trips to the Borgata since.

I thought the whole point of switching to the MLife system was to create uniformity. It's disappointing that the ability to earn TCs differs from casino to casino within the same system.
MGM properties in Vegas gives the most points.
All other cities is horrible coin-in per point

My chinese wife and BFWG (me) eat at NOW every time we go. I'm a fan of the short ribs, she gets seafood noodle soup a lot.

The burger at Wolfgang was a must for a buddy and I for a long time. The last time we went, it changed and we thought it was OK at best. I hope they've changed back. I'll give it another shot.

It took a some time emailing and calling, but now I'm gold everywhere (until Sept). As best I can tell, there were 2 account numbers, the Borgata M-life number was gold, the M-life number online was different and pearl.

After one email, they said they merged it, but I couldn't get online access. My password didn't work, and the rest password didn't wotk either.

Calls to ML were useless, maybe callling the Borg ML desk would have worked?

After my follow up email, they reset the account online (maybe they didn't do it right the first time). Now it's proper.

Headed down in a few weeks. The Fiore Suite was a discounted option for the first time online. We booked it, am looking forward to my wife enjoying it. We usually stay at WC, but this was just slightly more.

Am definitely going to hit Hard Rock and Ocean (in that order?) to status/tier match. I should probably hit others to do the same. In the past, I think I went to Harrah's and got diamond, but I don't know if I have to re-up that one.

Finally, I didn't try searching it yet, but am sort of hoping I can game the system and use the gold to match to a premium somewhere that I can bring back to the B to match to gold after it expires. I'm not a gold level players but I do like the perks .

I have not been to the Borgata in a while. They are no longer on the Black/Red card system?

Whats the current system?

So fun fact: your wife (or maybe any person?) can get linked to your MGM account (and get a card with their name and your number and your tier status). So basically I can get my wife a gold MGM card. The hope is that we can then double up on all the rewards for matching at TR/HR/Oceans

Owned by mgm, so its mgm rewards. If you have an mgm rewards account, they merge your two accounts (and seemingly screw this process up 75% of the time)

Whats the deal with the buffet and the Amphora lounge now that there are no more black cards?

Borgata Black = MGM Gold

Buffet and Amphora for Gold (or higher), IIRC $12.50 comp pp.

Going to Borgata/AC this Saturday - doing a few things. First people who are trying to comp match - the best method is this.

1. Borgata Gold Card -> Harrah's TR Diamond: Comps + $100 for dinner
https://www.caesars.com/caesars-ac/c...d#.W0TlI9VKi70

2. Harrah's TR Diamond -> Golden Nugget Elite, Chairman (Highest Tier): Comps

3. Golden Nugget Elite, Chairman -> Hard Rock Rock Royalty (Highest Tier): 2 Free Nights + $150 Match play

4. Hard Rock Rock Royalty -> Oceans Casino Highest Tier: Additional Comps/matchplay

I will be playing in 2 events this weekend at Borgata.

Event #13: Sat 21-Jul 11am $350 + $50 Saturday Series Deepstack NLH Re-Entry $100,000 Guaranteed

and if I get knocked out;

Event #14 Sat 21-Jul 3pm $500 + $60 + $500 Purple Chip Knock-Out Bounty NLH Re-Entry

Will likely be signing up for Event #13 late - possibly around level 5-10.
First time playing a bounty tournament - any advice/tips?

Thanks for this. I will need to visit GN, HR, and OR the next time I'm in town. A good way to visit the boardwalk.

i don't see what comps you're actually getting from GN unless you're going to play there anyway or want a bingo board.

You can also match diamond or mgm platinum to hard rock royalty. You're right about the 150 in slot dollars plus two nights. they also give you 80 dollars in comp dollars.

Hard Rock stopped giving 80 comp dollars. Yesterday, they gave out 150 slot dollars, 2 comp nights, 2 buffet or lounge entries, and 2 comedy tickets for royalty level.

Out of the loop since the conversion to MLife. With the new program do you also earn tier credits when playing online either casino or poker much like you earn tier credits online with wsop?

I've brought it up a. Couple times itt and it's just so ridiculous that they continue to keep it 10 handed when they get like 7-8 games busy nights making it 9 handed would only add one table when they have plenty of availability. I don't live there but I am up there a couple times a year for a few weeks, but why won't any regs speak to some suits up there in a proactive manner and try to get them to make it 9 handed. Nobody gets up when they pay time take for more than a few minutes from my experiences there. Just still can't understand why some regs here won't express desire to then for the change. If 5/10 can be 9 why not 2/5 when they are both time rake

No tier credits for online play. Not that you should be playing on their site over wsop anyways, though.

Most regs prefer 10 handed in live poker. In borgata, you frequently see people complain when a seat is open on their 10 handed table and it hasn’t been filled.

Please just allow Pork Fri Rize his one-post rant on this issue without arguing it further here (unless you have specific evidence regarding the Borgata 2/5 player pool). 9-handed 2/5 games is Pork Fri Rize's singular crusade. Letting the issue go instead of arguing it in every single venue thread he mentions it in greatly diminishes the derail potential it has.

Going to pop in here this weekend for the 1st time in a while - does anyone know if the 1/2 PLO buy-in is still 100 min / 500 max?

(Sorry for the noob question - I know the OP says 100min/500max)
