It is my opinion that Pizata pizza is okay. But it is not the quality of pizza that is available elsewhere in New Jersey and New York.

Was it criticism of the pizza or just a description? It's the pizza offered in (what was formerly) the Cafeteria.

And if you're set on oysters, the actual quality of the pizza probably doesn't matter much.

I don't drive, but friend is going to join wife and I are the Borg this weekend, and he is planning on parking there. I want to use the comps on my account to cover it. When do you pay for parking, on the way out, or when you arrive? I assume leaving, just wanted to make sure with those who do it regularly. Thanks in advance for the help answering my dumb question!

On the way out.

Not a dumb question, some (most?) of the others in town you pay on the way in.

Probably true but for a speedy option at a casino and for that price I agree with the others I've spoken with that it's solid.

Hard to sate an oyster-craving palate with pizza, I agree. I'm not sure if he meant it as a criticism but it seemed possibly disparaging. And that pizza joint and the salad place I'm willing to go to bat for . Everything else is kinda blah IMO.

I need 45K TC to get to Gold. That's 360 hours at 1/2NL or 300 hours at 2/5PLO.

But I also played ~50 hours at MGM National Harbor and ~50 hours in Vegas (MGM, Aria, Bellagio.)

I have 2 questions:

- Where do I see my play from MGM NH and Vegas properties? This is not reflected on theborgata.com or mlife.com.

- Is it possible to transfer TC and/or comps from these properties to my main Borgata account? These hours would make a substantial dent in the hours I need to reach Gold.

Correct. The other rooms do not give TC for poker. And each of the other rooms' poker comps are specific to that property only, you can't spend them at other MGM properties. Also they cannot be viewed online, only in person at the specific property.

I am pretty sure that poker comps that are earned at another MGM property can be transferred at the Borgata Rewards desk for use at Borgata.

If they're Express Comps, yes. Are the poker comps elsewhere something different?

I'm planning to arrive at Borgata tomorrow at roughly 1pm and play a 10+ hour session. Will this be sufficient to receive a comped room for Monday?

Unfortunately they are viewed as different. I played at the Bellagio and Aria and upon returning to the Borgata asked the rewards desk about whether I could get my comps earned in LV transferred. They said poker play comps are non-transferable.

If you don't already have a comp offer for Monday, no. Room offers aren't immediate.

I can't say for certain that the host in the back wouldn't do something for you if you were playing high limits, but it's not in the usual operation of room comps.

But it never hurts to ask (her).

So what's the general consensus on NYE in AC? Is Borgata the place to be for good games?

I went last year and the games (i played 5/10) weren’t great. They were actually worse than normal. I stopped played around 8 or so to party so it’s possibly they got better as the night went on.

I've gone the last two years. I don't recall the 1/2 seeming different from a normal weekend night. (It was Saturday last year, and Friday the year before.)

It's rowdier than usual...hats and noisemakers and whatnot.

Stupid question but is 2-5 comparable to 1-2 at borgata? I’ve played 1-2 on a few occasions at borgata and seems soft on weekends with a lot of action generally. I’ve never played 2-5. Just wondering if I should possibly take a shot at 2-5.

I would say prolly stick to 1-2 bc I feel play will be tighter at 2-5 with better players. I’ve noticed 1-2 at borg is a lot of tourists that just piss money away kinda.

Anyone playing bar poker tournies this weekend? I’ll be in town to play them. The structures are kinda meh but I feel a lot of people will be in town so tournies should be soft. I find it lame most can’t enter the main tourney. I would def fire a few bullets at that 100k gtn (160bi? Or around that) but you have to be a bar poker league member or something along those lines.

I haven't seen my Tier Credits increase in about a month. I only play poker nothing else but I average about 60 hours a month.
Is anyone else having this problem ?

As I said above, Tier Credits don't show up immediately with the new system.

My tally is at work (I keep track of when I played and when the TCs show up), but since the Mlife changeover, it's been up to three weeks before I saw them on either the Borgata site or the Mlife site.

The Mlife desk can't see poker play at all, so don't bother asking them about it. The shift managers at the back desk in the poker room can't see anything about TCs, so they're no help either. We just have to trust that they'll turn up eventually.

OK, but shouldn't the shift managers in the poker room know when the last "update" of poker hours to TCs have taken place.
I'll start keeping a record of hours played/TCs showing up, that's a good idea.

Someone somewhere should know, but it seems like that someone is in the office, not the casino. If it's that someone in IT has to run something to pull info from poker and send it to Mlife, the users of the systems at both ends won't necessarily know it's happening.

The last change to my total was 11/16 (for play on 10/28), and before that 10/25 (for 10/7 & 14). Nothing has shown up for 11/25 yet.
