Played for a bit Friday afternoon and was amazed how the super no limit here plays much more relaxed than harrahs.

I believe I played with you Wednesday night. I specifically remember the hat. I was in a standard accountant-like button down shirt (probably because I was there for a CPA convention) across from you in seat 6 or 7.

Pretty sure I was in seat 8 for most of the night that evening. I don't recall who was two seats down from me (guy next to me was from NC, like me), but the guy in seat 5 was the older, small guy with a t-shirt. So I think you'd had to have been in seat 6.

Do you recall the foreign, somewhat obnoxious guy who left the table for a while, got soup, ate it at the table, then left? That was pretty odd...lol.

Edit: This was 1/1 NLHE, by the way.

Man..maybe I had too much beer at the open bar and am screwing up my facts. I was at a 1/1 table. Played from about 8-10pm then from about 2-4am.

I was at the table nearest to the cashier cage that night til about 3:30am or so. Not sure why, but I can't remember if we were in a hand or not. I know I got into it a few times with guys in the 2-3-4 seat range. But I don't think I played much against seats 5-6-7. The guy in seat 5, though...we tangled a few times. I paid him off in a biggie when he rivered quads against my boat...lol.

A few location questions. I have been at the Bally's poker room a few times, and the last time was 2013, and there was significant construction, and when I left I heard the rumors of closing/combining with Caesar's.

Is the Bally's room in the same spot, or is it in a location closer to Caesar's? The Caesar's room closed, right?

I will be staying in the Tower Lux Ocean room. Will that location be fairly close to the poker room?

it moved to the wild west building. follow signs to the WSOP poker room.

Basically if you're in Caesar's, follow the signs. If you're entering from the parking garage side, you literally go in through the main opening, take the elevator to level 3, walk the skybridge (or take the fast walking thingy), and go down the escalator. It's right there.

Was it already in the "Wild West"?

I have not been in Caesar's, just Ballys.

no, it used to be on the 6th floor near some of the restaurants in the regular bally's tower. it moved beginning of this year to the wild west building which is between bally's and caesars. where the bally's buffet is.

"Is"? Do you mean "was"? I thought that buffet went bye-bye.

Wild West buffet closed about 2 years ago, but now used as staff food room. Play 5 hours in WSOP poker room (Sun thru Thursday) and get free buffet at Caesars, for use within 24 hours. Not the greatest buffet, but the price is right!

Is this a standard play for them? I remember the old Caesar's room had some sort of food voucher for play a few times I went, but I don't remember the specs. I'll be back in AC Jun 29-July 5 and worth getting a free buffet/check back in on some old dealer friends. If the buffet deal is finished before then, might just eat @ Borgata and hang with dealerfriends elsewhere...

With the guarantee gone, how many runners have the 7PM Saturday tourneys been getting?

Yeah I understand you can look at bravo for tournament information but they really should have a website where they have all the info.

Bravopokerlive.com is the website if you're opposed to using the app.

But the Bravo site does not give the info on blind structure. In the past the Bally tournies were far inferior to the Showboat. I am trying to see if they have improved with an objective comparison calculation that I designed. I also have a post for info on the Showboat thread, but I have not received any info there either.

Looks like all of the tournies are 15 minute levels (except the Tue/Thur 7p), which probably relates to continued poor structure.

I'd be most interested in the Tues/Thur 7p structure if anyone can post.

Thanks!
