Also in the low limit games sometimes the dealers do leave the bets out if it's obvious that the action is closed. And sometimes I guess if they forget to pull them in or they're on far sides of the table and it's just easier to deal the river and continue.

Any 3/5 regs here? When is the best time to play? Obv weekend nights are the best times but how about during the week? After the nightly tournaments start?

I've been semi regular these last few weeks...Doctor says I really just need to eat more apples...

Really tho any time theres a game going its pretty good...Its astonishing how many of the regs in the 3/5 are huge donators.

Hey got a question for the 3/5 guys. What is the etiquette and rules of moving tables b/c I haven't figured it out yet. Also the free for all when a table breaks and guys run to open seats is hilarious. Shouldn't they draw cards for the open seats or something.

Ask the host for a table change pretty much.. The more you play at CA you will realize alot of things need improvement, but overall it's a pretty good place.

They always do for me. You have to be determined and forthcoming if you want to get the seat you wanted in your own turn.

If a tables breaks there shouldn't be a free for all for the open seats.
Calmly wait at the table and have the dealer call for a floorperson, explain to them that the game broke and the players scattered to other seats on their own.

The floorperson( he will make players who attempted to abscond with seats to come back and draw) will ask the board person to check for open seats.

If there are more players than seats available the cards are spread and you draw for high card for one of the open seats.

If you want to be picky about seat table/seat selection , highest card has choice, but don't take meander around looking and analyzing.

Agreed. I have only played ~40 hrs of $3/5 the past month. I recall 1 or 2 "bad" tables where there was no action. Every other table has ranged from decent to phenomenal.

Last Saturday night I witnessed a $1500 pot where A3 got all in on the flop AT6 ... board ran out J 2 and A3 was good.

3/5 limit has a small blind of 3, a big bling of 5 and you can bet 5-500 (thats the spread part).

Its played this way, rather than "normal" nl because of arizona law.

Okay, so can I raise to anything up to 500 at anytime? And how about if somebody bets or raises to 500, can it be raised again?

Yes it can be raised again... so you can bet 500 and someone can raise to 100 and you can raise to 1500.

I dont recall the exact structure on the betting spread.... iirc its 5-250 pre and otf and 5-500 ott and otr

That is incorrect. Any action can be "+500" and the next person can make it +500 as well, even preflop. If the pot is not heads up they enforce the "cap", which caps the betting if the pot is 4bet letting only players behind call. If the pot is HU, each player can make it +500 until all the money is in the middle. The cap throws some people off and can be +EV if used correctly.

3 raises correct? The splash pots they did last summer got hilarious if enough people figured out that a late straddle and two min raises would stop the pf action. I only lost like 3k testing that theory.

Yup.

5/10 is the same. $500 max bet (then can be +500 by the next player). AZ law makes $500 as the max bet.

$500 is the limit of any single betting or raising action.
There is no limit on the size of the pot other than the latent effects of the betting limits.

preflop it is $5 to call. ( could be $10 if the straddle is in play)
the structure allows three raises, so it can go from $5 to $505 to $1005 to $1505(cap).

Flop, Turn River allows for an opening bet ($x) plus three raises of up to $500 each.

If the the action gets to heads up BEFORE the cap is reached then there is no cap on the raising. Obviously any following betting rounds are unlimited raising as well.
Some rooms( ive heard but not seen) have a rule that the betting round must start heads up for the raise cap to be lifted, not the case at CAZ.

To clarify, once headsup with no cap the betting still must proceed in incremental bets with a max of $500, "heads up no cap" does not mean "No Limit"

I live in Tempe halfway between Casino AZ and Wild Horse Pass.

CAZ has 3-6, 4-8, 8-16, 20-40, 40-80 limit holdem, 3-300, 5-500 and 10-500 spread limit holdem and 4-8 and 8-16 omaha 8 or better, and sometimes a 75-150 mix game. I hear the 3-6 stud game still goes early Sunday morning but I have not confirmed this.

WHP has 3-6, 4-8 and 8-16 limit holdem, 4-8 omaha 8 or better, 2-100, 5-250 and 5-500 spread limit holdem and recently has had a 2-100 spread limit omaha 8 or better game.

Which one is closer depends on where in Tempe you live.

Interesting... is the 2-100 O8 pot limit or no limit? Either way I'll be sure to check that out. Any kind of Omaha that isn't limit I've been dying to play.

I talked to one of the floor guys at CAZ about a PLO game and he said he has repeatedly asked his boss about starting the game due to player interest. However, his boss said no.
