I assume the room is a zoo. About what time does it quiet down?

- I thought the kill acts after the bb. But if there is a 3bet, it immediately goes to the killer unless it wouldn't yet be his normal turn to act.

The betting may be capped and all players have acted , THEN it returns to the "killer" who has only the kill in place ( after the big blind as made their final action) where they can decide to call whatever they owe.
Umm, I must be wrong. And if you wouldn't mind asking either the dealer or a floor person for clarification and letting us know the result

According to them it is Day 3. But Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3 are all starter days, and if you survive either of those days, you advance to Day 4 on Mon.

Here are the results from yesterday:

I don't think you are wrong, the killer acts after the big blind. The problem is i think they interpret it as the killer has last action, regardless of previous action.
Im not there as often as id like, but ill check the next time for clarification. Maybe someone will beat me to it>

I have only played there a few times, but I don't remember it working that way, and if this is actually the rule, that would be horrible (all action/raises happening, then killer acts).
It should be that the killer just goes in turn after the BB, and then if it is raised again by someone after him, he again goes last after the BB (although that would be a bit confusing as well).

It would be much simpler to have the kill poster act in turn, that is what is done in the O8 games in Atlantic City.

Is Matt Affleck from that famous hand with Duhamel in the WSOP in 2010 one of the chip leaders? It says "Matt Affleck-WA 25300" David Pham is a chip leader as well. David Williams and Ylon Schwartz are on the list. Any other famous players that played but busted already?

Dennis Phillips busted midway through yesterday. Matt Affleck is here and went from short to a big stack.

Chip and Karina Jett said they were playing on twitter, but I never saw them personally. I also swear I saw Miami John Cernuto playing both 40/80 mix Thurs night and the tourney on Sat morning.

When/how often has 20/40 mix been going lately? Just during the tourney?
Which games included?

Does Talking Stick have boxes available for poker players to use? Or players' accounts like a lot of rooms in CA have?

Yes but I am not sure if there are vacancies. The funds in the box may have to be converted to casino chips.

At the risk of everyone getting all riled up, I was hoping someone could take 30 seconds and give me the cliffs on whats changed in the past 5 years at CAZ.

I've been out of poker since 2005 or 2006 and living out of state. Moving back to PHX next month and would like to play recreationally.

Things I think I understand:
- CAZ poker no longer exists and has been moved to the Talking Stick, which is owned by same entity but is new and nice.

Things I don't understand:
- Everything else.

Would love to hear whats new, what to expect, general consensus of the new place, etc without having to wade through 2700 posts.

Cliffs: Caz is notoriously stingy with comps, the lights are too hot, 20-40 is soft.

Can you anyone confirm that Guerllima Mota (suspended MLB pitcher) plays the 2/3 at CasAz? It looked liked him but topping off his stack w a combo of wrinkled 20s, 10s, and 6 1s and having to borrow someone's cell phone to make a call makes me think it wasnt. Someone help!!

Giants have their Arizona league in Scottsdale and do their rehabs there as well. It is conceivable (and highly likely) that Mota is staying in shape in Arizona and pitching at their complex there until his suspension ends.

As to whether he plays Poker at TSR etc, I cannot comment as I am not currently in town and have never seen him play but it is not hard to fathom.

Yeah, I was with a friend who is also on this forum and he swears it was him, but I found it odd he would be playing 2/3 VERY seriously. He even tanked a $10 PFR...
