youll want to turn off each client's option to bring table to top, and allow SaT to handle it. for example, with merge, make sure this is off:
http://www.stackandtile.com/sat/carbonoption.png

especially since you mention that you are playing on ipoker. ipoker will definitely fight with SaT since ipoker offers no setting to turn it off

what site's table usually stays at the top?
Lock (Merge) is the problem site for me right now. I believe I did try different settings but will try again. This problem is I have been having is not specific to SaT. Have had the same problem with MergeKeys in the past. Would running the two programs at the same time possibly help? Thanks for you feedback!

running them together should be fine, theres no reason it would "help", but rather it could conflict.

so the Lock table is the one that gets stuck at the top huh? and youve turned off that setting in the image?

Ya it's def. the Merge software lagging. I tried play some games without SaT running and same problem came up. I then went and made sure the Lock setting was turned off and then turned on the SaT setting on and that fixed the problem but doing it that way kind of messes with my layout ( I have a different type of layout that actualy keeps the registration window in its own slot for faster regging). So at least the pop up problem seems to be fixed which was the major issue! Thanks for your help and I will be sure to recommend SaT to everyone. Later!

PM'd, I'm using trial ver at the moment because there isn't much point in me buying it if it doesn't work. That being said, if I can get it to work over the 4 platforms I plan on playing it'd be an easy $20/month for me to pay. Does this software work with pokerfest tourneys on party? That is the main thing I'm wanting it for right now as tableninja does not.

i'm not sure what the pokerfest tourneys are on party, i dont think i tested on those, but also i dont see why sat wouldnt work, unless they changed something major

SaT is worth every penny! If you think that it might not work on one of your platforms just keep playing around with it. The amount I can play now on a few different sites is a ton more. I can basically pay for one months subscription with one days rb. Gl!

Ok, went through it with greg and it set up as if there was never a problem in the first place, wierd but meh.

after setting up all my sites, I ran it and found that tables were not popping into foreground when action is required(playing tiled)

also found that on party it was clicking bet when I used the fold hotkey, easily fixed by using custom site creator.

grid tables are not designed not pop in front of each other. rather, the tables in the stack are designed to pop in front of each other so that you can keep playing on them. tables in the grid should have their own slots so by design nothing is meant to block their view.

how do you have things set up?

table_include_title_text=/
whilie you make your custom configuration via custom site creator. If you play multisites and there is also Bodog or/and Party Poker you will experience the problem anyway cause they use the same table class (i don't know if Greg was able to fix it)so basically you can't mix tables from different sites with the same table class (at least it was like that for me 2 months ago)
StackAndTile Quote
11-02-2011 , 05:08 PM
yeah, if youre getting lobby as a table problem, you just need to be more specific with the table_title settings. try what gargamel suggested and come back if it doesnt work

as for bodog/party, yes they have the same class so its usually a big problem. there might be a hack to workaround, but that would require some very specific table_title settings

Trying to set up this program up for CakePoker 2.0. Has this been done before?

I tried to use the Manual creator but it's not working so well for me.

Step 1 seems to go fine. "HwndWrapper[DefaultDomain;;9de19143-9022-48b9-8494-dd90d457fc40]"

Step 2 is where it starts to not work. I leave the table open and press the "Test" button and it says "Matching windows are highlighted:" and nothing appears. I tried restarting it/retrying again like 4 times, one time I actually got it to say
1. pr0wler is logged in under Cake Poker
2. Cash game - No limit Sevile Table 58729582 etc.

So I thought sweet it's working! It even grabbed the correct table width/height on Step 3.

On Step 4 when the program was locating the Fold button, when I clicked "Grab Click" it just locked my mouse on the top left of the screen instead of actually locking it on the poker table. This was the only time I was even able to get to step 4, and every other attempt I would get nowhere on step 2. This is pretty frustrating as I am following the steps correctly but I'm unable to get CakePoker2.0 working...

this hasn't ever worked successfully for Cake2.0, at least not that i've heard of. i spent A LOT of time trying to configure SaT to work with Cake2.0 and have the settings built-in, but it never would cooperate. i concluded that cake2.0 is the worst poker software available

as for your attempts

Step2 doesnt match any windows because the table_class that was detected in Step1 is specific to only ONE table. you see all those random characters at the end? they change. so after it detects the class, just remove all that garbage at the end, and leave only "HwndWrapper"

Step4 locking the mouse could be a problem of not running SaT as administrator, i've heard it reported before, but i thought i fixed this bug.

anyways, here was my final Cake2.0 config (with custom window frame setting OFF in the client), so you dont need to go through the custom site wizard, if you want to test it for yourself. the biggest problems came when trying to actually Include Site and pressing F10 to grab the fold button color. no matter what Scan Mode is used, it always failed for me. so SaT was unable to consistently grab the fold button color, meaning that it was unable to detect when action was required, which is pretty much the heart of the program. you dont really these failures until you actually start playing. i suppose if you just needed hotkeys and wanted to move tables around yourself manually, then things would work ok

Code:
;// ======== CakePoker v2 ===============

standard_table_width=800
standard_table_height=600

buttons=fold,call,bet

action_button=bet
; no fold button when you can check for free, so..
; bet button as action? same problem as UB, someone shoves,
; i'm last to act and i cover (no bet button, only fold/call)

Okay cool I'll give that a shot. Of course I'd like it to tile all sites perfectly etc. but if I can at least get the hotkeys working for Cake I'd be happy. Then I could tile my Merge tables properly (which work fine, I play about 60% Merge/40% Cake) and then moving the 3-4 extra Cake tables manually isn't the end of the world. Thanks for your help.

Okay I pasted what you told me to into a .ini file and it did not work correctly. However, I did follow your advice during the table Wizard and I got CakePoker2.0 to work great...sorta. The hotkeys work totally fine, it even tiles perfectly. The issue is that the lobby is locked in to a given position on my screen...which inconveniently enough is right over my tiles. When I try to move it to my other screen it warps back to it's original spot over top of my tables. I guess it is not recognizing the difference between a table and the lobby? When I did Step 2 of the Wizard it had like 1. pr0wler logged in under Cake Poker and 2. Ring Game: 18428 [Amsterdam 6-max)] etc. so i thought it was fine.

I checked the settings to see if there is anything that I missed but not sure if I'm doing anything wrong. Thanks for your help so far I feel like we're definitely making progress.

Not to spam this page or anything, but I got EVERYTHING fixed now!!

I read on the forum for the SiteCreationTool that you can add modifiers for the custom.ini to include certain text like "$" to help it better recognize the tables/lobby as separate things. I added the modifier "$" which worked for Cake, but didn't work for Bodog. So I used "max" (the "max 6" or "max 9" portion of the table name) as a table indicator for Bodog and now all 3 site tiles correctly with fully functioning hotkeys!

Will be buying this program now as it's the only one that can tile/hotkey all the sites I play on. It's not cheap, but it's 10x better than running around trying to find specific programs for each site which don't even work as well as SaT anyway. Thanks for your help and looking forward to using this program everyday.

question for Greg: are there any new features that you are actively working on, such as allowing different sized grid spots, detecting the end of a hand, explicitly supporting 888, or anything else?

question for everyone else: how many tables do you play, and how many grid spots do you use?

great to hear man. i was gonna suggest to you how to fix the lobby issue, its usually just a matter of configuring the table_title settings to include or exclude certain letters.

actively, no. i'm mostly playing live poker to support myself, today was very very bad. all of those three that you've listed are on the to-do list. but during the next coding session, the framework for end-of-hand detection will likely be done first, as that seems to be requested the most. then 888. lastly different sized slots, which i'm not sure is even that highly in demand.

Just a thought Greg, could you detect a click in one (realistically, all) of the advanced action boxes? Right now I use the advanced box to fold mostly then hotkey it back into the stack. I do use the check on a lesser scale, but not all that often.

If you can grab that click it could be an easy fix to get rid of some tables without exploring hand detection just yet.

I found a bug. I use both TableNinja and StackAndTile. For both the disable hotkeys action is mapped to the Escape key. If I press Escape then only the StackAndTile hotkeys are disabled. If StackAndTile is not running then I can disable the TableNinja hotkeys.

well, the Fold (and Fold+stack) hotkey within SaT will usually attempt to click the Fold pre-action checkbox, but on some sites its just not possible. as for detecting the actual click, that would probably be much harder because first i would need to detect whether those are visible, which SaT currently doesn't do. its unlikley i would add this, but you are free to make a thread on the SaT forums under the Feature Request section and if enough ppl want it then ill do it

so you want to use Escape to disable BOTH SaT hotkeys and TN hotkeys?

try this in SaT, remove your hotkey, and then re-add it but instead of using Escape, prefix it with ~ so it would become "~Escape". the ~ will pass the actual keypress through to other programs
