It seems after the latest update HM isn't properly detecting placement in my SnGs, pretty sure this just happened with the 11.01 ---> 11.02 update. Played 8 $60 9mans last night got 2 1sts, 2 2nds and a 3rd (+$400 or so) yet HEM claims I lost $84 and didn't receive the two 1st places, all the other finish positions seem to show correctly.

I can't disable hero stats from the hud all of a sudden. "Disable Hero in HUD" is checked, and correct hero name is selected in the "Select Your Screen Names" dialog.

Make sure windows is fully updated and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).

It sounds like you arent updating to the proper folder so that HM isnt being updated. The new stars buyin amounts start at nl10 so you need the update installed. If you installed Hm to a non-default folder originally you need to manually browse there when updating.

Right-Click > Properties on the Holdem Manager shortcut you use to see the Target Path for that shortcut. That is where you need to install the updates to so that your HM titlebar updates accordingly.

I dont think it is possible to filter like that by hero/villain. If you set the Min Hands for Stats to 25 it will affect everyones HUD.


What site and version of HM? If pokerstars and you are not using 1.11.02, please update and import the hands again 9to a new DB if necessary).

This is usually because the Use For tab is improperly configured for one or more of your HUD layouts and/or you are not selecting the proper HUD from the Choose Configuration: drop-down menu. The Default HUD should be set to a site you never play, and make sure none of the other layouts have conflicting rules. Any time HM isn't sure which HUD to use, it will revert to the Default HUD (even if it is set to a site you never play).

I just installed HEM a couple days ago and i like it alot. I have a few questions though..

Is there a way i can get the # of hands in parenthesis? For example my HUD right now looks like Gravity69 Hands:75 . Can i get it so it looks like Gravity69(75)

Also i read earlier that you guys were going to make the Stars tourney results automatic soon and i was wondering when we can expect that or is it already done?

There is no quick and easy way to do that for all stats automatically. You can customize the abbreviations manually but that is only for the prefix of a stat. If you want a parenthesis symbol after a stat number it would have to be done as the prefix of the next stat on that row.

If you disable the Show Abbreviations option all of the stats will be separated with a '/'. That can be changed under the HUD Options > Tables Preferences > Separator Char

I believe that should be fixed in our latest release. If you still have problems with any tourney results importing zip the hands and email them to us in support to test. Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to support@holdemmanager.com

So when does it starts updating stats ? the hud shows up but they all stay at 0.

I have reinstall my computer, and cant make HM HUD to work. Everything looks ok: HH imports, see all data, but HUD didnt appear on the table. Can someone help me?

I'm playing on PokerStars using a Macbook Pro. I have installed Parallel Desktop with Windows 7, and on the virtual machine I've got HEM installed. But I cannot get the HUD to work.

Should I run PokerStars (or whatever poker software I use) on the virtual machine + HEM on the virtual machine? Or can it also be done by running PokerStars on the Mac OS and then HEM on the virtual machine?

Also, is there some guide for HEM HUD?

I just tried to download the SNG Wiz app today. When I do so it seems like the whole HEM get downloaded and I have to overwrite my current HEM. is this how it works?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer (start > computer) and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right-click + Properties the executables and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. If you have Vista and the checkboxes are greyed out and you can't select it, please turn UAC on, reboot, and then set the files to run as administrator.

Make sure the hand histories and poker client are in English. Set your Windows Regional and Language Settings to English (US). Restart your PC.

You have to run HM and the poker client in windows if you want to use the HUD.

SNGWiz is built in to HM as an app/add-on. You just want to make sure you have the latest HM Update and then you should see it listed in the left sidebar menu under Apps.

My Ajusted EV next to my winnings column dissapeared. How do I make this reappear?

I am not sure what would cause that. I would suggest you restart the computer and try to update again. If that doesnt help you may want to try reinstalling HM completely and/or post your problems in the sngwiz forum on our forums.

How do i look at my player notes? I made a note on somebody but forgot his name. I want to edit the note without having to go through my hands and look for him.

wtf. I'm trying to be nice about this, but really. I just bubbled a 4/180 and HEM reports I won $12, before and after importing the stars summary which clearly shows me sucking horribly.

What good is a database if I can't trust the data? Do I have to watch it every second?

When i place first in regular 9man SNGS on Pokerstars it says i placed 0 and i did not cash and even if i manually change it the ROI is uneffected.

There is no master notes view. You would need to search for the player some other way such as by looking for a particular hand.

I apologize for the troubles. Stars recently changed their hand history format and their summaries format. We made updates to work with their changes but bugs are a definite possibility any time a site changes formats.

If Pokerstars would write a separate summary file to your computer's hard drive, the way that full tilt does, there would likely be very few of these types of errors. We rarely have full tilt tourney players with results problems of this magnitude, because their client writes a summary file for EVERY tournament you play, directly to the hard drive so it is auto-imported.

This is also site specific. Some sites you can import observed hands without sitting at a table. Pokerstars and Full Tilt do not allow this, but they do allow us to Pre-Fetch 1 hand so that we can query the database and display the HUD. This will help in your table selection process.

Please note that if you use preferred seating at full tilt or stars so you always sit in the bottom seat, you need to pay close attention. When you take a seat the table will spin to put you in your favorite seat. The HUD will not spin until AFTER you have played 1 hand. This means that while waiting for and playing the big blind, your opponent HUDs will most likely be out of position.

Try to request the summary and import it to see if it helps. If you manually edited the tournament you may need to delete the hands, then the tournament, and import it again before importing the summary.

I always suggest you Email support@pokerstars.com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Summaries.

They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder. HM > Import From Folder for all of the unzipped hands.

The tournament summaries should be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments. HM > Import File(s) for all of those files. It will probably ask you to search/select your Pokerstars screen name. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions.

Then later, you want to import the summaries on a regular basis:


Pokerstars > Lobby > Requests > Tournament History .. > 200

Then you have to create a text file, from the email, to import to HM.

Bit of an issue with the size of my Holdem Manager folder. As I have 5 databases I was planning on deleting them all except the one I use. However obv it would be good to keep my hands.

Would it be ok to backup each database through postgresSQL: Right Click > Back Up (Format is auto-selected as Compress).

Then should I ever really need these databases I might be able to recreate the db using the backup?

I'm liking those new icons on the left for import, cash games etc, very nice touch
