The thing is HM can easily calculate the correct winnings and placings if its a sng where all the players are at the same table. However with MTTs and 2+ table tournaments HM has no way of knowing whether there is 10 people in the tournament or 10,000 so without this info HM cant workout your position or payout or if the tournament is complete. You can manually edit or also you can request summaries which detail the total people in a tourny, the payout positions and your finishing place, if you import this into HM it will update the results for you but not all site give summaries.

You need to request and import any/all your tournament histories and import those to HM. Stars does not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive, like FTP does.

Email support@pokerstars.com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Summaries.

Then later, you want to import the summaries on a regular basis:

Pokerstars > Lobby > Requests > Tournament History .. > 200

Then you have to create a text file, from the email, to import to HM.

I haven't used HM in a while, and when I recently opened it, it showed that I had 0 out of 15 trial days remaining, and when I entered my serial number (I have pro version) it couldn't register. I went through the processes but it would always display an error message saying that I was not connected to the internet, but I clearly had a connection. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I have really hard time figuring out why does HEM state these EVs, I hope somebody could help me either understand this or tell me that HEM is calculating it wrong. I`ll post couple of hands as examples but there are more of them.

Now seriously wtf? Am I understanding the whole EV$Diff thing wrong? Does it affect my all-in EV in the graph?

I just began using HEM recently and my omaha graph shows my all-in EV to be almost negative altough I feel that I have owned the games and made all the right plays. I`m up over 10 bin from the past week and all-in EV shows -1bin. There has to be something wrong with HEM seriously. Somebody plz help.

If you were to run this all-in situation infinite times, you're supposed to win potsize * your-all-in-equity.

Code:
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Qd Jd Ah 9h 432499 39.82 653509 60.18 0 0.00 0.398
As 2s Ac 7h 653509 60.18 432499 39.82 0 0.00 0.602
Code:
0.602 * $140.90 = $84.821

You won $140.90 while should've only won $84.82 on average.

$84.821 - $140.90 = $-56.079
That's pretty close to the HEM EV$Diff. The difference might be due rake or slightly different EV numbers.

In the second hand you have villain crushed and so your HEM EV$Diff is very close to your actual winnings.

In the third hand you're not a favorite to win the pot and including splits, you're only supposed to win pretty much exactly 1/3 of the pot on average.
You won the whole pot though, and that means your EV$Diff is huge again.
Code:
Omaha Hi: 658008 enumerated boards
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Qs Ac Ad 9d 145252 22.07 363305 55.21 149451 22.71 0.334
As 3s 4c Ah 96323 14.64 412234 62.65 149451 22.71 0.260
7c 5c 4d 8h 266982 40.57 391026 59.43 0 0.00 0.406

0.334 * $256.60 = $85.704
85.704 - $256.60 = -$170.896
Now a big EV$Diff doesn't mean you play bad, it just means you were at the lucky side of your all-ins in the past week.

A negative all-in EV over a significant sample (which is most likely not achieved in a weeks play) is something to worry about though.

Thank you very much, obviously I didn`t have a clue what the Ev$diff even stood for but now i get it.

About the all-in EV I described.. In my mind it would seem absurd that I`m really running +10bin EV from the past week and should in fact had lost 1bin, atleast that`s what the all-in EV is trying to demonstrate. I`m close to a beginner in tracking softwares altough I`ve been playing 4-5 years.. I have been going through the hands where I went all-in, and I have way more +50% equity scenarios than -50%.
Seems just absurd.

Been using HEM for a few months now. Played 2 and 5NL cash for a long time and it worked well. Then switched to sngs and mtts and still worked super.

However now after some BR building Ive come back to play 10NL, and my HEM hud wont display. It still records the hands and I can view them after the session, just the hud wont display. Funny enough though, it does display in the instant hand history window...odd.

Any suggestions?

Hello. My HUD on Pokerstars has the stat boxes matched with the wrong people at all of my tables recently. Please advise on how to make the stat boxes show with the correct players. Thanks.

1) Close HM and the Table Manager.
2) Delete your existing position files, so HM will rebuild them to default.
3) Delete > \Holdem Manager\Config\pospref.txt and pospref2.txt, and pospref4.txt.
4) configure your poker client preferred seating and seating preferences in HM accordingly
5) Setup HUD pre-fetch: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...h+Walkthrough+ (if on stars or ftp)
6) open one cash Table and adjust the HUD while observing. Move the stats with the right mouse key to the correct positions.
7) Then sit and play at least one hand so you can make sure the hero hud is positioned properly.
8) Table manager -> File -> Save positions
9) Now you can open further tables but you will always have to play at least one hand for the stats being moved to the correct positions.

I have been trying to use the holdem manager hud while playing heads up cash games on pokerstars.

However, I only see one stat box appear in the top right of the screen, not under any player like it should be?
Anyone know how I can fix this.

HUD works fine on 6max tables.

Apparently not. I still see some open bug tickets. I will try to find out if this is at the top of the priorities list now.

We have a new backup/restore process/feature - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...up+%26+Restore

Not within HM, but I think the Table Scanner App has something along those lines. You can search/ask in their sub-forum - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/table-scanner/

No

Please reproduce the problem and post a screen shot - http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/gen...screenshot.htm

with the following:

1) The table manager
2) The tables (including one with no stats)
3) The ...handhistory\screenname folder.
4) The "\rvg software\holdem manager\importing\hud data" folder AND the '\hem data' folder.

Please make 3 and 4 the detailed view with the dates and file sizes etc.

To attach it to a thread in the forums, look below the post reply button when you start a new thread and you'll see a manage attachments button. Click this and attach the file.

You can simply right-click and delete them. If it is a single session, you can go to the Sessions Tab > Group by: Sessions or Sessions (by table). Right-click the session > update all filters to session date and time range. Hands tab > [x] All > right-click > delete all hands in list
