a super quick question, I couldn't find an answer in FAQ and this thread is super large..

What is the default folder for hands processed by HEM?

Basically I had to re-install postgressSQL and after I did, for some reason autoimport did not find any hands but ~1000 that I played today and that I haven't imported before re-installing. The autoimport folder is set correctly and my HH's are saved for 99999 days says FTP. However, my Hand History folder in FTP is completely empty, so I can only guess that HEM has taken all those hands and put them somewhere..?

So I want to re-import all the hands that I had before, but I cannot find the folder :/

If anyone apart from Fozzy or rvg know the answer, please feel free to answer

Hello guys, my HUD isn't working! I have max 6 tables but it only shows the hud for 2 tables. It collects all teh hand analysis and can see the other tables but it doesn't collect the info for them. Any ideas why this is? I haven't played for a month, but have come back to play and it's not working properly

Since I updated to last version prefetch function for FT works even worse than before. Fozzy could you please give me a link to rollback to previous HEM version please ?

my little personal hud box is blinking black and white(tilting) in a 90 man, any idea why?

2 ways (I recommend #2):

1 - copy the \RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config\prefs.xml file over

2 - Export your custom HUDs and then import them to your default installation using the Player Preferences menu.

Reboot your computer and install the update again, before you do anything else. Part of HM didn't shut down fully so it couldn't update properly.


Logging:

I would suggest you turn off logging on your new SQL installation as well as these other performance improvements in my signature - Top 10: HEM performance increase tips


To turn off logging, follow these instructions. This is the first thing I do anytime I install SQL for someone.

- Start > My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View > UnCheck 'Hide Extensions for known file types' > OK

- C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\data\postgresql.conf > Right-Click > Open With.. > NotePad > Check 'Always use this program'

- Scroll about half way down to ~Lines 245 - 260:

- The last line of this block of code, for the 'logging_collector', must be changed from On to Off.



File > Save; File > Close

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL 8.3 > Reload Configuration.


- Start > My Computer > C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\data\pg_log, or C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\data\pg_log, if you have 64 bit Vista. Delete all files in that folder. And it might be a good idea to empty your recycle bin at that point, or use a 3rd party utility like CCleaner to clean up all your junk/temporary files. You want to do this before you get to the vacuum and defrag process.



Regarding database maintenance:

You should regularly purge mined hands in your database, after purge vacuum / full analyze the database via pgadmin. You do not want to purge any Hero hands so make sure your alias is properly configured before purging.

Before you defragment you should stop the PostgreSQL service:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL 8.x > Stop Server

Use your favorite defrag tool. I recommend Smart Defrag.

After defrag I recommend you reboot your PC. If you need to access the DB before rebooting you can start the PostgreSQL service.

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL 8.x > Start Server


Pokerstars? The new buyin structures mean you need to update HM to work properly. The nl2/nl5 tables still have the old buyin structures.

Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere.

To verify the location: Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: ___________________

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer (start > computer) and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right-click + Properties the executables and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. If you have Vista and the checkboxes are greyed out and you can't select it, please turn UAC on, reboot, and then set the files to run as administrator.

Make sure the hand histories and poker client are in English. Set your Windows Regional and Language Settings to English (US). Restart your PC.

This is because Live-Tracking is enabled which uses OCR to read the chatbox information.

HUD Options > Site Options > Full Tilt, Stars, Cereus, and Party (if using FPHG) all have this feature now.

If you move the HUD so it doesnt cover the chat box you should be fine. If you are using the Live-Tracking, make sure you have your poker site's chat options set to show [x] Everything.

i excendently deleted a hand from my database, it's from a session i played today. I want this hand back in my database. I tried to import hand history file again but the deleted hand is not imported again.

Does anybody have a clue if I can get this hand back?

To get all your missed hands imported

1) Right-Click your Desktop > New > Folder.
2) Go to your \HMArchive folder - To verify the path, go to Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: _________.
3) Open that folder and copy the hands (folders of hands) you think it has missed. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31). Also get any hand files that are in your \poker site\hand history folder.
4) Paste them into your new desktop folder > HM > Import From Folder.

Is it possible to change the default stats listed in the Table Manager for the Holdem Manager HUD?

Right now, its listing:

Name, Avg Pot, # Player, Fish, Net Win, Hands


I'd like to change the order around a bit and what stats are displayed.

If this is possible, where can I change this?

TY for your help Fozzy, I rolledback to 1.10.05 and now prefetch works fine for FT. I like to open 16 Tables in order to take color notes, before I had .04 and must open tables one by one to show stats cause tables had not to be overlapped (same result for .06) . With .05 version you can open as much tables as you want at the same time, even overlapped, when you put a table on top stats will appear anyway.

Alright a question, rather complicated.

Obv my HUD shows the stats I have for villains and it also shows my current stats for the table I'm playing. However, I don't know what stats villain sees for me. So eg let's say my 3b% is 9 but after 152 hands with villain due to variance/me running good pf he sees this as 34 which obviously makes him adjust in a wrong way. So the question is if there's a way to show my stats for the hands villain has seen which would mean I'd have 2 stat rows for each villain: a) his normal stats I have on him and b) the stats he has on me. Not sure if I'm getting this across but it's just something I wondered about today, would be pretty neat.

Have you created a custom HUD? Did you try importing a HUD?

Did you customize your default HUD? If so, I recommend you clone it into a new config and then set the default HUD to a site you never play.

If you keep having problems start a thread on our forums but give us more details as to what sites you play and what you are trying to accomplish with your various hud configs. Make sure you attach your prefs.xml file so we can take a look at your HUD setup.

I recently bought Hold Em Manager & I noticed I'm allowed to have it installed on 2 different computers.

My roommate also plays online & I was wondering if it was ok for me to give him the second copy of the software. I didn't see anything that specifically stated that it had to be used by the same online account on the second computer but I thought I would ask as I don't want to break any TOS.

I believe this is covered under sub-section 3j of the EULA. The license agreement is in one of the installer's beginning readme screens.

Is it possible to create a filter for RIT hands?

Perhaps have HEM go through the hand histories and filter for the sentence "Players agree to Run It Twice".



Also, it could be displayed in the replayer too by using a blank card, until the GUI has been updated to properly show both rundowns. Or just displaying a message somewhere, stating it's a RIT hand.

Does anyone know how I can fix my hyper turbo results without having to do each one manually? It shows the buy in and rake correctly but it shows the payout for the win $22.05 instead of $22 and the 3rd place $8.82 instead of showing $8.92.

Is there a way for the HUD to start by default with stats from the current session and not from my whole database?
