Thanks.
HM only works on up to 2 pcs, if you need to use simultaneously on a 3rd PC youll need to buy a 2nd license and you can then use it on up to 4 pcs.

I've had some lag issues for a while, did a lot of what i've seen in this thread and that top 10 faq thing but nothing has fixed it. Today i turned my hud off and everything was fine. Are there some settings i should turn off/on for the hud?

Turn off any HUD transparency, multiple panels, and maximize the opacity.

If you use the pre-fetch or live-tracking options, disable them in the HUD Options > Site Options > Full Tilt or Stars

What other software is running? TableNinja or Hotkeys? Can you try to get a screen shot of the Task Manager > Processes tab, sorted in descending order of CPU and Memory use?

I already had the hud transparency, panels, opacity, and live tracking off. The only other thing i'm running is table ninja.

Most likely cause is the new buy in structure that caused problems for everyone. Try the 1.10.05 Internal build:

Here's an "unofficial" build that has lots of updates along with fixes for many problems associated with the recent Stars and Tilt updates. There's a ton of other fixes too including iPoker shallow tables. We're looking to have an official build early next week but wanted to release this build early for those of you that want to use the latest version of Holdem Manager.

Hi Fozzy

2-3 weeks ago I installed the "unofficial" build (http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmU...05Internal.exe).
Now I saw that in most of the reports the labels of the columns are cut and incomplete (dots at the end). If I enlarge the column I continue to see the dots ("Pre-fl...", "Showdo...", etc).

For a long time I read somewhere that somebody already had this problem but I cannot find anymore the answer/solution.

The fixes you publish are valid for both Omaha Manager and HM? I use the the version for Omaha. At the moment the "unofficial" build 1.10.0.5

Thanks and bye
A.

I emailed sales@holdemmanager.net 3 days ago and have yet to receive a response.

I own HEM and have recently started to dabble in NL cash instead of my normal sngs. I would therefore like to test out the Table Scanner app but like many people I clicked on it once upon a time when HEM switched form tabbed form to the left popout menu form. Seeing what appeared to be a new feature in software I owned, I clicked on it to see what it was and fired off a demo timer that, at the time, was of no use to me.

Point 1: All of the App demos should pop up with a Yes/No prompt on whether to start the timer and allow access to the applet.

Point 2: Tell me how to go about resetting my demo timer so I can test the product.

Check your spam or junk email boxes as our replies often go there. If you PM me the details of your email address you used I can trace the email in our system.

Regarding an extended trial, simply create an account on www.holdemmanager.com and then email support@holdemmanager.com or myself directly (fozzy@holdemmanager.com) and let us you know you need an extended trial for the scanner and we can give you another 15 day trial.

When I try to open hem today i get the error message: Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If i click continue hem just takes forever trying to open and nothing seems to happen.

I tried reinstalling hem and still the same thing.

Does the all-in ev line work for omaha 8 big bet games? It always looked funny for me. I ran a simple test.

Two players All in at .10/.25 for 4.05 each including blinds for a total pot of 8.10 before rake. I used pro poker tools to calculate the equity.

Player1: KcJd7c4s 44.49%
Player2: Qdkd6s2s 55.51%

If player 1 has 44.49% of 8.10 then in the long run he should get a return of 3.60369 for a total loss of .44631 cents on the hand every time he is in this situation.

I graphed this single hand in Omaha Manager and it has player 1's all-in equity @ - .62 cents. It infers this player should lose .62 cents every time he gets himself into this situation even though the equity calculation says he should only lose .44631.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why? Is the split pot nature of the game being calculated incorrectly or does it have to do with a problem of calculating the rake in a split pot game?

Full Tilt? I think this is a known issue. If you want to be sure, send us some hands and we can verify it and check the bugs database. Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread, to support@holdemmanager.com

I never attempt to answer EV questions anymore, rather than stick my foot in my mouth.

If you could post the question on our forum, and/or email us the hand history to import, I will have one or some of the rest of the team take a look at it.

In regards to my equity question in post #18565 it looks like holdem manager simply accounts for the rake that the sites take which would explain the discrepancy between the numbers I was seeing.

The amount of rake taken never ceases to amaze me... 40 cents taken out of an 8$ pot that two people split.

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...rt+PostgreSQL+

First try to reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

If that doesnt help delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...ender+Problems

Please try following these FAQs, step by step:

1) http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...rt+PostgreSQL+
2) reinstall the same version of postgresql, using the same \data folder - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...g+Old+Database
3) http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=8261

If that doesn't help you will probably have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely and reimport your hands using these instructions

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) Use our combo installer to reinstall PostgreSQL. Make sure you un-check Holdem Manager during installation. http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/Hol...ager_Setup.exe

If that installer fails to install PostgreSQL, please reinstall PostgreSQL using the following instructions:
A) Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt > Right-Click > Run As Administrator
net user postgres /delete
B) Reboot.
C) Try installing this version of PostgreSQL - http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/Pos...3.9-v1.0.7.exe

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.net/hmbetaupdate

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer (start > computer) and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right-click + Properties the executables and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. If you have Vista and the checkboxes are greyed out and you can't select it, please turn UAC on, reboot, and then set the files to run as administrator.

Make sure the hand histories and poker client are in English. Set your Windows Regional and Language Settings to English (US). Restart your PC.

Try the table finder - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...r+to+Show+HUD+

*If that doesn't help, please answer these questions - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...esn't+Work
*Post the answers in a new thread on the HM Forums - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/index.php
