Why does HEM2 table HUD display the action of the first hand that I witness (e.g. szroki $1.50, jackson $5.21). It's useless information.

This is already requested but I don't have an ETA for when it will be implemented.

2) On the session summary section, is there a difference between "all-in EV" (e.g. the graphed line) and "EV Net Won/Lost" (the figure displayed above the graph, below net won/lost)? The figure, and graphed line often vary considerably. Picture is attached showing what I mean. Not sure if this is a bug or if I'm confused.

This is a known bug but it is a low priority issue right now because it is intermittent and isn't affecting every session and it is only affecting the EV and not the actual results. I am going to bump the priority of this bug to see if we can make some progress on it as it has been an open issue for too long IMO.

The previously assigned internal ticket # on this issue is HM-5029: EV in Active Sessions is off in some sessions

If you want to be notified when it is fixed please send an email to support@holdemmanager.com and include "Notify Me When HM-5029 Is Resolved" in the subject line and body of the email.

I am sorry for the delay in reply. It is really hard to estimate. Powering it off is definitely not a good idea if the backup is still actually running in the background. I haven't tried backing up a database that large in quite some time and when I did I was using an SSD. Did it finally finish the backup process and wake up your monitor?

That is a pretty big database. I am guessing it has a lot of mined hands in it? HM1 usually takes about 7gb per 1 million hands so i would estimate you have 3 mil hands in that database.

You might want to try purging some of the old/observed hands to reclaim some space but purging the hands doesn't reclaim as much space as not having imported them in the first place.

There are two types of purges (delete)

-options--> settings--> purge hands (will delete handhistory, hand from graph, $Won from sessions, etc. everything, so hand won't be used anymore for stats)
-options--> settings--> observed HH configuration--> purge hands--> will delete the handhistory and therefore the ability to replay the hand, but the hand will still be used for the graph, $Won from sessions and for the HUD.

If you're deleting a lot of hands, it's usually best to just create a new empty database.

If you purge hands as explained in that FAQ you will want to make sure you vacuum, analyze, and reindex your database via pgadmin to reclaim as much of that purged space as possible - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...lyze+Database+

but there's also a folder called "8.4-prev-2012-02-Jan-00-20-01" which is taking up 1.5 GB, can I delete it?
That is an old database that was preserved when you reinstalled PostgreSQL at some point. Yes you can delete it. If you think it has important data that is possibly not in your active database you might want to copy it to your external drive in case you want to try restoring that data at a later point. If you want to try restoring that old database to see if you can export the data I can give you instructions but it will require uninstalling/reinstalling postgresql and there is no guarantee that it will be successful.

This is a known bug that should be resolved in our next build. If you are not using the Table Scanner it won't affect your use of HM2.

I have 1 more problem, Hm2 is very very laggy when I'm running 10 normal tables + 4 zoom tables, is there any idea how I could possibly fix this? I've got 4gb working memory so this shouldn't be an issue of ram or w/e. I also have no junk running in the background, but it's still so laggy from time to time.

Thank you for your help

Hicham.
1) Go to C:\Program Files\Holdem Manager 2 (Program Files (x86) for the 64bit version)
2) Right click the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator".
4) Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for HudFuncsApp.exe

If this option is greyed out it is because the UAC must be enabled.
Enable UAC - http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...windows-vista/
Reboot.
Complete Step 3 and 4.
The UAC can be turned off again if desired.

Check this FAQ to make sure that Pokerstars is running as admin - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...rs+Zoom+Tables

Add exclusions in your firewall/antivirus program for all of those files.

- HM2 > HUD Options > Stat Appearance > Choose the HUD you want to edit from the drop-down preview window in the upper left corner

- Select the Stat you want to edit in the window that lists the stats for that HUD > Min Samples: 10

*Some stats don't have a 'sample' for every hand you are dealt, such as 3bet. A 'sample' is an 'opportunity' so if you don't have the opportunity to 3 bet a hand it won't count towards this sample number.

This is part of the pre-fetching of observed tables/hands to help aid in table selection before you get dealt a hand. If you don't want to see this on the tables you should be able to disable the feature by deleting the pre-fetch folder from the auto import folder list.

Options > Hand Importing > Auto Import Folders > select 'C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\HEM Data\Hands' > Remove Folder

That is the latest available version. We are in the middle of integrating the new datagrid controls with the public release so there will not be any forum releases of internal builds until that is done and well tested internally. I expect we will release it on our forums eventually for a wider beta testing group but I don't have an ETA for when it will be available at this time.

Strange, I've only got 1.8 mil hands.

I now have 10.6 GB free on my hard disk drive but my database is corrupt, I created a new database and tried to import hands but still got the same error message.

I'm planning on moving on to a different type of poker now (fifty50s) which I've never played before so I don't need any of the hands on my corrupt database. I can import my 1.8 mil hands if/ when I decide to move back to MTTs/180s by getting stars to email me them.

If I delete my database, update HM1 and create a new database do you think I'd still get the same error message? Thanks for all the help.

It is worth a try but if you are having the same problem with a new database right now your entire postgresql installation may have been damaged during the failed update caused by limited free space.

If you continue to have problems after updating HM1:

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel and delete the leftover \postgresql folder and it's \data sub-folder.
2) Use our combo installer to reinstall PostgreSQL. Make sure you un-check Holdem Manager during installation. http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ager_Setup.exe

If that installer fails to install PostgreSQL, please reinstall PostgreSQL using the following instructions:

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) run the command - start > programs > accessories > command prompt > right-click > run as administrator
net user postgres /delete
4) reboot.
5) Install PostgreSQL 8.3.9 from this link - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...3.9-v1.0.7.exe

p.s. all of your recent auto-imported hands should still be on your existing computer so you can import hands from the past few months or year if you want some data in your database without having all 1mil+ hands. All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

If I do this before I delete my current database that we think is corrupt, is there a chance it might work again?

I got the postgres downloaded but now if I open the holdem manager, it cannot connect to the database. Says that most likely a windows update or antivirus programme is causing the trouble. I am using PC Tools Internet Security. Although disabled, I read that some programmes could still be causing trouble. Should I uninstall it?

If you have your original archived hands, or can request them from pokerstars, it will probably easier to just reinstall postgresql and import your hands to a new database. If you want to try and save the existing database it will be faster than trying to import all of the hands again but there is no guarantee it will work so it may end being a waste of time to try.

If you want to try and reinstall postgresql using the same existing database I can give you the instructions to try that but I am not very optimistic your database can be saved.

For reinstalling SQL to the same DB, follow these steps:

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) run the command - start > programs > accessories > command prompt > right-click > run as administrator
net user postgres /delete
3) reboot.
4) Install the same version of PostgreSQL as your current DB using these instructions - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...g+Old+Database
http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa...-1-windows.exe
5) If you have installed your DB to a non-default location, please make sure to change the 'Data Directory' path during the installation.

The PC Tools software is almost certainly the cause of your problems.

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with holdem manager.

Please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager:

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software bundles.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel, turn off Windows Defender, and add firewall exceptions for HM and SQL - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...%28Firewall%29
4) Install Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus/malware protection and update it - http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

If you continue to have problems, please email hm2support@holdemmanager.com, with a link to this thread, and your forum name, so we can schedule a Teamviewer session. Please read this important information before our teamviewer session. We cannot do the teamviewer session until all those issues are addressed below:
1 - Make sure you have updated your windows using the "Windows Update" feature http://www.update.microsoft.com/wind...&&thankspage=5
* - Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts and multiple 'check for updates'), including Internet Explorer 9 (even if you use a different web browser) and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).
2 - Make sure Holdem Manager is updated to the latest version http://www.holdemmanager.com/store/d...ds-manuals.php
3 - Please make sure you have access to a good connection, we cannot provide support on really slow connections
4 - Please allow us full access otherwise it slows down the speed at which we can fix the issue

Started playing ZOOM again. For some reason the HUD isnt updating fast enough. The stats it is showing is from people who were in the seat a few hands ago. It worked like 5 months ago fine. I even update to the latest beta and still the same thing. SNGs work fine, I also changed my seat preference to 5 for FR on HEM. It is showing the right seats, just not updating to the current player sitting down. I have HEM1 btw

Hi,

I did this but there was no change.

Here's a picture:

That "Astraeos $0.07, nmspf2010 $0.98" is from the 1st hand and it gets stuck for the whole session. How do I:

1) Remove it.
2) Fix it so it doesn't just show the 1st hand?
