Please email hm2support@holdemmanager.com, with a link to this thread, and your forum name, so we can schedule a Teamviewer session. Download the Teamviewer Quick Support Module - http://www.holdemmanager.com/teamviewer. Please let us know what time zone you are in and what time/days are convenient for you.

Please read this important information before our teamviewer session. We cannot do the teamviewer session until all those issues are addressed below:
1 - Make sure you have updated your windows using the "Windows Update" feature http://www.update.microsoft.com/wind...&&thankspage=5
* - Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts and multiple 'check for updates'), including Internet Explorer 9 (even if you use a different web browser) and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).
2 - Make sure Holdem Manager is updated to the latest version http://www.holdemmanager.com/store/d...ds-manuals.php
3 - Please make sure you have access to a good connection, we cannot provide support on really slow connections
4 - Please allow us full access otherwise it slows down the speed at which we can fix the issue
Is the update windows necessary? Cause i got the newest frameworks and i don't know if there's any other programs required for installing Postgressql.

The thing is that i had a virus about a month ago which i fully removed, but since then i haven't been able to update windows, and haven't found a fix for it. The only solution i see is formatting which is a pain in the ass and will take ages with all the programs and drivers i have.

I have to note, the only program i can't install on my computer is postgressql.

Maybe i need to download some Visual basic stuff? Not too experienced in this area of computing, but overall i'm not a complete idiot with computer stuff.

If Windows won't update it indicates a problem with your operating system. Sometimes this can prevent you from installing programs (or worse) and it can possibly prevent us from fixing the problems.

I understand that reinstalling windows is not very convenient (I do it to all 3 of my computers at least once a year, whether they need it or not) but it might be the only way to solve this problem. We can schedule a remote support session and give it a try but it might be a complete waste of time which is why we prefer that you get your windows problems fixed before the teamviewer session if possible, so we don't waste our valuable remote support time trying to fix something that is impossible to fix.

Yeah i totally understand, will probably format at the end of September, the only reason I'm rushing this is because the trial period already started.

Thanks for the quick responses!

Once you get your windows problems sorted out just send me a PM with your email address for your holdemmanager account and I can issue you a temporary license for 30 more days so you can have a proper trial.

I found the PSQL file under Program files (x86)/8.4/data. The Data file was totally empty.

I think there is a misunderstanding - are you running PT3 under Mac OS or under Windows?
If its under Mac OS you can't use the Mac postgresql installation under Windows. In this case you need to install HM including a separate Postgresql under Windows.

Using hem 1.12.10b.

I want to see a list of all the players I've played against at zoom but on the players tab no zoom stakes are listed in the stakes box so I can't select them. I've tried selecting the equivalent stakes of regular tables but zoom hands don't show up. I tried creating a new database and the same thing is happening.

Any ideas?

This is a known issue and it has been documented in detail and provided to the developers to resolve.

The previously assigned internal ticket # on this issue is HMONE-65: Players tab shows no Zoom hands/players

If you want to be notified when it is fixed please send an email to support@holdemmanager.com and include "Notify Me When HMONE-65 Is Resolved" in the subject line and body of the email.

Save all the original hands. All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

Export your Hand Histories
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Export+Hands

Export Your Notes
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/notes-02.jpg

Export Your Bonuses and Rakeback ' Options > Rakeback & Bonuses http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/...bonuses-01.jpg

Export any tourney summaries by selecting all your tournaments in the Data View Sub-Tab of the Tourney > Results Menu and choose Export Tourney Results and summaries

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/...ta-view-01.jpg

Then can you create a new database http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...elete+Database

Finally reimport all your hands/notes/summaries into the new database

We also have a backup and restore feature within Holdem Manager that makes it easy for you to backup all your settings, hand histories and files, but you should also do the manual backups listed above to be thorough in case you have problems later trying to restore this backup file.

PT3 runs on mac and works fine with PSQL that is installed on mac. On windows I have PSQL 8.4 installed. And just now I installed 9.2. too. Still HEM cannot connect to it.

Please check in the windows services whether the postgresql service is running,
if yes, can you connect via pgadmin?
Please see our FAQ: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...rt+PostgreSQL+

It may help to download postgresql 8.4 from www.postgresql.org and try to install this one.

My HEM has started missing tournament results. The tourney registers as completed but I get a 0 in the column where it says $ won even if I cash. It records my finish basically but not the $ won.

We do not support SQL 9.2 at this time as it was only released in the past few weeks. We have done some testing with it and while it might generally work there are problems with some of the functionality (backup, restore, etc) within our GUI.

Follow netsrak's suggestions:

HM1 or HM2? SNG or MTT? What site?

Assuming you are using HM2 and playing at pokerstars:

Any tournament with more than 1 table will require a separate Tournament Summary/History file to be imported for HM2 to properly calculate the size, places, and prizes. If your site does not write summaries, or you experience any discrepancies with the results, you will need to manually edit the results via the Reports > Tournament > Tournaments > right-click > edit.

You may need to request and import any/all of your old tournament histories and import those to HM2. Stars did not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive in the past, like FTP did. They recently added this feature, so please enable the option in the PokerStars client to be sure that it is enabled in the Pokerstars options and be sure that HM2 has added the folder to your Auto Import Folder Configuration.

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...er+Stars+Setup

Email support@pokerstars.com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Histories/Summaries.

They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder. HM > Import From Folder for all of the unzipped hands.

The tournament summaries should be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments. HM > Import File(s) for all of those files. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions.

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...and+Histories+

If you continue to have problems, please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to hm2support@holdemmanager.com

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31) or if it was auto-imported with 7283+ it would be in \HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\DD\MM.

I can not give any sort of reliable ETA for the next update at this time. We are actively working on it now but it has a lot of significant changes that require a bit more internal testing than normal before it can be released. Is there something in particular in the public build causing you problems that you are hoping will be fixed in the next release?

I am looking for someone to program a few HEM1 report stats for me. As this would of course require some work for anyone, I would definately reward the work properly. The stats are somewhat specific and I would rather not tell here what stats I need. Please contact me via PM first.

contact in general afterwards should be done via skype though if possible

You might have better luck posting your request in our HM1 forum - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/manager-general/

Those are enabled by the Graph Options > [x] Show Points of Interest. If you hover over the icons it will tell you what they represent. It is for things like '1k/5k/10k hands played', 'highest net won', 'lowest net won', etc.

I was wondering whether It is worth it to purge hands.
I've got around 1 million hands in my database; however, there are 900 000 old hands that I might delete.

Does HM2 run the same way with 100k or 1000K?
I mean, I have no lag issue apart from the fact when I play 28 FR tables at once (on winamax because I haven't got any problem when I play 28 tables on PS.com and until 25 on winamax)

1-Do you think it Will make a real difference If I empty the 900K in my database?
2-Is your next release gonna make a real difference? (you know the one with the new hybrid caching system)

Anyway, keep the good work because HM2 has become really great.

I forgot to ask you another thing. In hud options, hud filters, include hands newer than. Mine is set to 3 months, but will HM2 run smoother If i set it to 1 month?

HM2 basically caches all 1000k hands into memory currently so that it can perform database queries much faster than HM1 or our competitors could. Purging 900k hands would help to reduce the amount of hands that are cached and RAM that is used, as well as reduce the database size if you vacuum/analyze/reindex it in PGAdmin, but it won't reduce the database size nearly as much as if the hands had never been in the database to begin with.

HM2 caches certain information in order to optimize search results and report load times. The amount of caching (and thus the amount of RAM used) for an individual user is, in part, dependent on the RAM available and how much RAM is required for other applications you are running. Thus HM2 intelligently uses RAM based on a balancing act between how much you have and how much you are using elsewhere. If someone has a significant amount of RAM available, HM2 will cache more in order to further improve your response times to queries and report loading.

If you have all of your original hands in the \HM2Archive folder I would actually suggest you just create a new database and import your original hands to the new database versus purging the mined hands from your original database.

Quote:

Our next release will hopefully/finally have the new lighter datagrid included. This will make the program much more responsive in general.

The initial release of the new Datagrid will not include the new Hybrid Caching system to start with. Once the Datagrid is released and stable we will work on rolling out the new Hybrid Caching system which will greatly reduce the overall CPU/RAM used by the software. We decided not to include Hybrid Caching in the initial Datagrid release so we can try to minimize any problems for the customers and fix any Datagrid problems that might arise before we introduce the Hybrid Caching system.
