Comodo is the most likely cause of the problems. You can try to set exceptions in comodo for the HM1 files mentioned in the following FAQ but I would honestly suggest you just uninstall comodo and use windows firewall - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...%28Firewall%29

Yes, I realize that. We don't recommend Comodo so we don't have it on our FAQ. I was just linking that FAQ so you could see which of our feels need exceptions set for any of the other programs and then use Google to find out how to set exceptions for those files in Comodo. Uninstalling Comodo is the best bet though IMO.

I have never heard of that file so I have to assume it is PT4's or something else entirely.

Hey im trying to activate my licence for my HEM2 on my laptop as my secondary computer.
However when i fill in the licence key and proceed it comes up with the next stage where it says its "activating over the internet, please be pateint"
then it says underneath "errors while activating. Retry or go back and try another method. If problems persist please contact customer service"
When i click on details it says "The licence is still encrypted and the internal properties cannot be accessed. To decrypt you must validate the licence.
Can you help me solve this problem please.
Thanks,
Alex.

Hi,

Please try all the steps in the following FAQ http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...Holdem+Manager if you are still having problems please attach the Reg file and the Log file from the following location C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager folder (XP users will find that in C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\ApplicationData\Roaming\HoldemMa nager folder.)

Hi,

This is a known issue and it has been documented in detail and sent to the developers to resolve. While I don't have a specific date for when this issue will be resolved, we are putting out updates regularly.

The previously assigned internal ticket # on this issue is HM-5925. We will often release builds on a limited basis, only in the forums for a few days first, so please check back on this thread http://forums.holdemmanager.com/hm2-releases/ for that ticket #.

If you wish to be notified when this is resolved please email hm2support@holdemmanager.com with the words Notify me when HM-5925 is resolved as the subject and we will add you to the ticket number.

Thanks

yday I made a new database for HM1 and updated to the latest version and now I have some troubles with the import of my hands.

When I play more than 2 tables my import is going really slow, files and hands seem to be detected very slowly and important is also going slow and I'm constantly getting this egg-timer/hourglass or whatever u call it, which causes constant delays and I really need to play a ton of tables and not 2

Hi,

Can you make sure your Opacity slider in HUD options > Player Preferences> Appearance TAB is 100% to the right and also do the same for the mucked cards Opacity

Also keep task manager running and have it sort by CPU in the Processes TAB and see what is using the most CPU when the lagging happens.

Try disabling as many programs as possible such as AHK scripts, Firewall, LimeWire, Mikogo etc. and Antiviruses and if they can’t be disabled make sure you add all these programs to the exceptions list such as HMhud.exe, DBcontrol panel.exe and holdemmanager.exe from the Holdem Manager folder as well as any of the other programs that happen to be running, sometimes for example the antivirus/firewall etc. scan every file that’s been processed and it can slow things down so running with as few programs as possible. This is the most common culprit and it’s usually a combination of 2 or more programs that can cause the issue rather than 1 specific program.

Rule out corrupt config files as the problem
Sometimes a corrupt prefs.xml file or holdemmanager.config file can cause Holdem Manager or the HUD to crash. To rule this out we install the default prefs.xml file and holdemmanager.config file.

First close Holdem Manager and go to C:/Program Files/RVGSoftware/HoldemManager and make copies of the prefs.xml file and holdemmanager.config file, then delete the originals. Once you do this restart Holdem Manager and it will create default holdemmanager.config and prefs.xml files and if this fixes the crashing problem then we can assume it was one of those 2 files were corrupt. In that scenario we would need to re-configure our import folders and HUD settings and use the new default ones.

If however it doesn’t fix the issue we can just replace the defaults with our copies by closing HM, deleting the prefs.xml file and the holdemmanager.config file and renaming the 2 copies to prefs.xml and holdemmanager.config and rebooting HM and all our settings will be returned.

Rule Out Firewalls/Antiviruses
Sometimes firewalls can prevent access to a file that HM needs to run and thus causing it to crash, unfortunately disabling the firewall doesn’t always fix the issue. See these two FAQ’s on how to remedy that.
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...%28Firewall%29
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...ender+Problems
It can be easy to pass this off and say it didn’t happen before but has been the cause on several occasions

Also going to control panel > Admin Tools > Event Viewer and copy and paste any description if there are any error or information events that coincide with the time of the lagging.

Go to Hud Options > Site Options and disable all the prefetch/track live hands options for all the sites.

Disable Aero and choose the standard/default theme On Vista or Windows 7
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...windows-vista/

Disable or Reduce Hardware Acceleration
Hardware Acceleration can solve issues with graphics and crashing issues, depending on your graphics card driver Windows 7 and Vista users may not be able to disable this. Click here to see how to do this.

Lastly make sure your graphics driver is up to date as this can make a big difference to lagging even with a brand new PC.
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...+Card+DriverOn

With all those tried if you still haven’t found a solution Enable Logging
Please go to Hud Options > Table Preferences and enable logging. Then recreate the crash and then go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Logs and send us the log.txt file with details of what’s happening to support@holdemmanager.net and a link to the thread you made detailing all the steps you tried and also be sure to send the log before restarting HM otherwise it will clear the log. Also try to provide as much detail as possible about what was happening at the time the crash happened, did you click a button, switch tab, hover over a stat etc.

Thanks

The HMSync option just doesn't show up for me on any of my computers, I already tried a few different versions.
To manually keep your hands sync'd I would suggest you move your \hm2archive to a \dropbox folder that is shared on both computers. If you actually move it (instead of just copy it) make sure you edit the HM2 > Hand Importing > Auto Import Folders > Archive Folder: for each and every auto import folder in the list on both computers.

Then you can just use the Manual Hand Import > Import Folder and import any recent hands to each PC since the last time you played on that particular computer.

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31) or if it was auto-imported with 7283+ it would be in \HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\DD\MM.

If you would like some help figuring out why the HM Sync tab is not showing on your computers:

My first guess would be your firewall/antivirus. Make sure all the exceptions are set - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...%28Firewall%29

Make sure HM2 is set to 'run as admin':
1) Go to C:\Program Files\Holdem Manager 2 (Program Files (x86) for the 64bit version)
2) Right click the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator".
4) Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for HudFuncsApp.exe

If you continue to have problems, please email hm2support@holdemmanager.com, with a link to this thread, and your forum name, so we can schedule a Teamviewer session. 2 - Make sure Holdem Manager is updated to the latest version http://www.holdemmanager.com/store/d...ds-manuals.php
3 - Please make sure you have access to a good connection, we cannot provide support on really slow connections
4 - Please allow us full access otherwise it slows down the speed at which we can fix the issue

hi, thx for the answer, I have done the first couple steps and that has made an improvement, the hands are now importing quicker but I think they are importing too many at the same time which is now causing delays and lagg. for example, this is what my import says right now;

'' auto update did not find any new files..try again in 5 sec..''
and then after that it imports like 9 hands in a row which causes a ~5second lagg/delay every single time and still can't fix that

Any problems that require back and forth are best handled in a dedicated thread on our forums or via email. This thread does not lend itself well to problems that require more than 1 reply from us.

Please view the following FAQ and if this does not solve the problem please answer all the questions at the bottom of the FAQ to help us narrow down the issue.

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...+does+not+work

The more questions you answer the quicker we can narrow down the issue and provide a solution.

Please email the answers, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to hm2support@holdemmanager.com

If we can't determine the cause of the problems from those answers/files we can schedule a remote support session.

I think the best thing in your situation is to schedule a remote support session. It is very difficult to follow the entire history of 1 persons problems in this thread and I think in your case there will be so much more back/forth and trial/error that we should just ahead to a remote support session.

I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials.

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with holdem manager.

Please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager:

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software bundles.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel, turn off Windows Defender, and add firewall exceptions for HM and SQL - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...%28Firewall%29
4) Install Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus/malware protection and update it - http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Is this a known problem? How do I proceed?

Can I do anything to debug this?
I see that the tournament summaries are being saved as usual, and I cannot see anything different in them compared to older ones that previously did import.

This issue has been documented in detail and provided to the developers to resolve. You can try rolling back to the Oct or Sept internal builds to see if it helps while we try to get this fixed - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/gene...uncements.html

The assigned internal ticket # on this issue is HMONE-182: Pokerstars - SnG Result Parsing Broken since Recent Update (16 Nov) for FT

If you want to be notified when it is fixed please send an email to support@holdemmanager.com and include "Notify Me When HMONE-182 Is Resolved" in the subject line and body of the email.

hi fozzy,

I understand my problem is tough to follow because it has been evolving and stuff, but right now it seems like its not worth a teamviewer session because the problem is pretty small atm, ill try to be clear and explain the current state

when I load a bunch of sng's (16+) hands/files will import with a bunch at the same time, causing an importing delay or whatever, which causes lagg/makes my screen freeze for a few moments every few seconds. So this only happens when I play a lot of tables, not when I play like 4 tables because the hand/file importing is going really quick then..

previously(before I updated HM) I could play 30+ tables and never had a single problem with this. It does not seem like a big problem but if I cant fix it I would not mind a teamview session
