Haven't you ever been so drunk that you can find your car, but can't remember how you got home? Same thing with the zombies.

Thanks. I just found out about this show and jumped into the end and didn't read any preamble or network websites. I don't think I will read them though, I like enjoying the show and learning about "rules" as they are showed on TV, unless you think I am missing out on a ton of interesting stuff (like the amount of extra-stuff that LOST had)?

A couple things I dont think have been mentioned that have been bothering me alot...

Episode 2, asian kid and lead actor are walking through the horde to get to the truck....Everyones on the rooftop peering at them through binocs.... WHY THE F isnt someone using that sniper rifle that crazy redneck had and offer some cover??? Or maybe shoot a few zombies in front of them????
Same scene.....adding a black athletic zombie...I found that pretty racist.

MOD NOTE:

This post is really, really dumb for a variety of reasons.

Shooting guns stirs up the zombies and will attract more attention, which is the opposite of what they were trying to do.

The racism thing is either really really stupid or pure trolling.

If you don't want to have your posts deleted, please put a bit more thought into your posts, more energy into watching the show.

I don't think you can write off that idea as stupid so quickly. yeah it gets them riled up but it would make sense someone would be ready with the rifle just in case, especially at the end when their cover was already blown and they were running.

I had the same thought during that scene, but actually I was thinking they would use the rifle and shoot zombies which were farther away from the construction yard to cause a diversion by attracting zombies either to the dead zombies or to the noise (the building)...not sure exactly which would happen. This would have been effective during the first part of the "mission" before the rain, unless the zombies have the mental capacity to think "hey i want to go in this direction but these two other zombies are going in this other direction wtf is wrong with them"

The second part of the plan involves pulling the truck up to the building and getting everyone inside. You probably don't want to spend the 15 minutes prior to that getting every zombie in the neighborhood to surround the building.

You're right, good call. I still think it makes sense to keep watch with the rifle though. Yeah it would attract attention, but in an emergency if they were really in trouble, it would still be better than two (un)dead heroes.

Was there a second part of the plan?? Ill probably need to rewatch it but I recall they were about to freak out on the roof because they thought they were getting ditched when asian kid and the main guy were taking off in the truck. Wasnt asian kid like "wtf, where are we going??" and the hero had to explain that they were drawing the zombies away from the doors... its like he just kept the plan to himself or made it up on the spot. I dont think they had a plan

Plus ya, they wouldnt be blindly shooting the rifle attracting attention... just scoping with it in case **** gets too intense(like when black athletic zombie hops the fence) instead of just watching with binocs

Good but not great. That kid looks evil. I feel like they're forcing this Shane into a potential villain role when in reality he's done everything to help these people survive.

Preview looked very promising though.

Not sure why mod comment was needed. There are like 100 posts more stupid than this in this thread alone. His comments were pretty genuine. Additionally its likely the fire would draw their attention away towards the building (where the sound came from)

Nit comment for this episode:

How quickly would one bleed to death sawing off their hand at the wrist without proper medical attention?

50 minutes of Rubiconesque pacing. 10 minutes of awesome.

I don't know that it's fair to nit on that (the bleeding hand) until we see what shape he's in and if there's explanation. I mean, if they find him lying half dead somewhere with gangrene, then I'd be much more forgiving. Of course that won't happen, but still. Speculation here is silly.

I found the pacing overly slow at some points. Prime example of this is when he was lying with his wife in the tent. It was just REALLY slow. I am still liking this show a lot, but I do wish those scenes were cut down.

It doesn't help that I immediately compared it to the most recent FNL episode that had a couple emotionally charged segments. I just didn't feel much emotion during this episode regarding his reunion with his family.
