I don't find it unrealistic how often he gets laid, given his characters personality, minor fame and looks. The real David Duchovney probably gets laid more and probably isn't as suave irl. The creator of Entourage said in an interview that those guys actually get laid more and the show undersells it.

Not defending these shows btw, just saying the copious sexing isn't really inexplicable.

Yeah, I guess so, the problem is that the only people who want to **** people that unpleasant are usually pretty shallow and unpleasant themselves, and I generally don't like to watch unpleasant people unless they're engaged in Sunny-level antics.

Anyway, I'll stop because I think I'm just repeating myself now.

I meant: you didn't like his character? I guess I could see people not liking him/his character for being egotistical, self-absorbed or w/e, but I thought he was flat-out consistently funny throughout the series. But, to each their own.

On deck:
Sons of Anarchy

possibly Supernatural?
Finished Its Always Sunny, and marathon'd through SoA in less than 4 days. Awesome show.

Going to start Dexter soon and then probably finally going to watch The Wire, I'm sort of building my self up to it. I was also considering giving Mad Men another shot - since I quit watching after the pilot and a lot of people have said it starts to get really good after 3 or so episodes. So I may need to try and stick it out on that, but the first episode really bored me.

-Just finished SoA S1, so awesome, thanks for the recs.
-Almost done with Fringe S1, though it was pretty weak in a lot of eps post pilot, but has picked up near the end considerably.

What dramas should I watch next? BB? I haven't seen anything really, so name anything.

Glad Leverage is back, fun and entertaining even if lacking in acting/writing.
Burn Notice has been pretty bad thus far, although E3(I believe I was decent).
I'm also suckered into watching Royal Pains with the wife, and its actually pretty good.
I also watch White Collar which has some decent eps, but pretty meh overall.

The rest of SoA (ldo), The Wire, The Shield, BB (even though it's a little slow-paced for me), Dexter. I feel I should mention though, that I don't like any of the other shows you listed (except for maybe BN, which is ok), so not sure if my recommendations will be useful to you.

Season 2 of Fringe is awesome, i'd finish that up and SoA. Breaking Bad is outstanding, make sure you watch it.

Need recs

Loved:
House
Dexter
Community
Always Sunny
Curb
Arrested Development
Parks and Rec
Entourage
The Wire
Sopranos
The Office
Breaking Bad
Leverage
Lost

Ok:
Fringe
Weeds
Heroes
Supernatural

Just finished Community, and loved it, so I might be in a (possibly romantic) comedy kind of mood. I just started Twin Peaks and Mad Men also.

Looks like you need some comedy to run concurrently. I recommend Eastbound and Down since its only 6 episodes in the first season (second season coming out in September) and shouldn't be too much of a commitment alongside your other two shows. Matches up well with you comedic tastes.

May be available on HBO on demand currently.

Battlestar Galactica, Fringe

Both have lots of highs and lows but the highs can be excellent.

You're doing this show wrong. Treat it as satire or just start rooting against the characters.

I started doing this with L&O. I get so pumped whenever Hang'em High McCoy loses.

Just watched the first three episodes of Persons Unknown. Seems like it'll be pretty good, very similar to LOST. High production value, great cinematography, good writing, good cast. No eye-rolling dialogue.
