Pretty funny show, I prefer Peep show though in the British comedies genre.

Im going to be getting Netflix back after being away for a few months and want to catch up on some TV shows that I never got around to watching. My favorite shows currently are Dexter, Community, Chuck, 30 Rock, HIMYM, and BBT (just so you have some frame of reference of likes).

Here are shows that I have not seen yet but heard great things about. Which do you recommend ordering first?

- Sopranos
- The Wire
- Weeds
- Six Feet Under
- Deadwood
- Battlestar Gallatica
- Parks and Rec
- Fringe
- Breaking Bad
- Mad Men
- Other (there are a ton of shows I havn't seen, so if theres something on your list that is must watch please let me know I might not have seen it

For "Other", gonna have to list Arrested Development, just in case.

Not sure on the order for your shows... I'd consider Breaking Bad or Deadwood first, due to only having 3 seasons each (and being able to watch BB live when it returns). The Wire should also be near the top of your list. Longer, but worth every minute.

You should maybe just drop Weeds. It's pretty good for the first season or two, but it winds up pretty disappointing.

Band of Brothers then The Wire. Both are simply fantastic.

I would say Breaking Bad next but its not finished so maybe you would want to watch a series that has been completed such as The Sopranos (never got into it myself).

Thanks everyone. I think Im going to go with Arrested Development first if its only three seasons (have heard a ton of good things about it also), then try to knock out BB then the Wire.

Got a lot of TV watching ahead of me.

Lucky mutha f*cka. 2 of my 3 favorite shows of all time and easily my favorite show running. Why don't you go have a 3-some with Alison Brie and Sarah Shahi

AD and The Wire are my 2 favorite shows of all time (The West Wing, WLIIA and Cheers rounding out the top 5). Breaking Bad is my favorite show running right now. And the lovely Sarah Shahi is on some new show that I don't know the name of that I'll be watching every week whether it sucks or not

I am jealous you get to enjoy these shows for the first time.

I quit deadwood after 2 seasons (I own the box set) I liked it a lot though, I think I just had a lot going on at the time or something.

gonna have to start over pretty soon. maybe it was because the dialogue is so intense it's really hard to stay focused

Toward the beginning, I halfway kinda/sorta enjoyed it, but it was mostly for Mandy Patinkin and not much else. Curious whether the other elements changed at all. Thanks.
As George becomes more cynical as a reaper, and then loses her "sister" Betty the show changes. Then I'd say the middle of the 2nd it moves in another direction.

Overall its a good series and worth viewing, big Patinkin fan here. He's also a good reason to see the first 2 seasons of Chicago Hope.

I watched the first 3 series. Then I had one of those moments when you realise you hate a show and must stop watching it.
