biggest takeaways from the ending:

- AT&T sucks, assuming that's what CF used to try to upload a standard file from starting on the highway, where, presumably, there would be no issues with service
- USA = corrupt and terrible, Venezuela = dope ass street parties!
- the army dudes just wanted the hard drive and sex party files but leave behind a human sized duffle bag full of cash?
- Riggins gets a highway named after him for...being a gay war hero?

Venezuela's not that bad. Good food, tropical weather, extraordinarily beautiful women.

OTOH, there's the Castro-worshipping communist government, but hey, you can't have everything.

You didn't hurt my feelings, you just made it seem like I didn't know what I was talking about. You never came back to say anything about your findings. I just gave up and assumed you were right and it was a captioning mistake (captions are generally made from the script, I didn't say that I'd seen the script). Proven right, I just wanted the credit...lol.

Are you going to print out ED's apology and tape it to your mom's refrigerator?

Or just get on the boat with Bezz and Velcoro. He makes a cool 2.5m plus transaction costs on the sell side by taking a boat ride.

If it makes you feel any better, when I saw the sign I thought to myself, 'hey, nunnehi was right!'

Well, Frank did mention a few espisodes back that "everything was double mortgaged." I know the reference was directly about the club, but perhaps it applies to everything else.

I mean, this isn't the type of show that has to spell everything to its audience, right?

They should have gone to "Los Angeles" in Patagonia like the Frank Black song.

Velcro should have at least got to see the Paternity Test Result:

(Jumping around excitedly) - "Yes, the ****ing fat-bastard is mine!!"*

* Which would be ironic since the kid is not actually a bastard - and yet, he lived his life like one!

*** Also why did Osip say "Frank you are like a son to me?" I could have sworn that in the first episode, they didn't even know each other.

Much like the Mexicans storyline (so NP could use the Mexican stand off line), so that Frank could overkill the f out of his father. I'm pretty sure they knew each other, though.

I thought they met for the first time at the "meet-and-greet" in season 1 when Osip kept insisting that he would only deal with Caspere.

But, whatever. This is NOT ONE OF THOSE TIMES where it even matters.

Also: regarding the henchmen in the diamond shop - anyone else see a ringer for a Franco Harris/Gabe Kaplan lovechild in the guy on the right? (Episode 6 or 7).

the line doesn't make much sense regardless of their history

but if they had some kind of close relationship, the show could have like, established that previously?

S2 wasn't big on doing that with anything though, they mostly just told you stuff and expected you to buy it without question

I suspect the reviewers are biased because of previous season(s). It's hard to accept something is truly awful when you go in with super high expectations. Homeland season 3 & 4 have high (77, 72) metacritic scores and both are accepted as being pretty awful. Dexter's last two seasons are 81 & 71 and so on.

Noirs are typically about a person making one wrong decision and it basically turning into a tragedy from there. The closest thing to noir in this show was Velcro killing the wrong guy (they went for a noir feel, but didn't get the noir establishment right). A good example of a great noir start is a person finds a dead body, but instead of reporting it to the police, they just run away. Or someone finds a bag of money, and instead of trying to find out who the owner is, they keep it. All good noir starts out on a similar premise. Their fate could have been avoided by doing anything different than what they did at the start.

From that perspective, Fargo (the TV show) is probably the best neo-noir I've seen in a long time, as all Lester would have had to do was tell the cops about Billy Bob Thornton's character.

noir is known for not caring as much about plot points and more about mood, so noir wise, it doesnt really matter that they just did stuff without explaining anything. the problem is, you really need to earn stuff like that if youre gonna do noir or neo-noir, which this season did not
