It's like most of the shows on Adult Swim. It's so damn stupid that it's funny.

I think Gervais and Merchant really need each other; Merchant balances out Gervais' saccharine bull**** and lame jokes, and Gervais softens Merchant a little bit so all his characters aren't completely unlikeable.

I gave up mid episode of the last "hello ladies". It was just too annoying. Or he was just too annoying. Something was too annoying.

I don't mind cringe-laughing, but with this show I'm cringe-head shaking.
lol next week is the finale and i fear it won't get renewed, so you might as well put in another 25 minutes

eps 4 and 5 were the big highs, noticeble drop off in 6 and 7. still decent fun.

I've shut off/fast forwarded Hello Ladies multiple times because things got too uncomfortable and I couldn't watch anymore. That can't be good.

Yea I really like the idea of the show but they just go overboard a bit.

That is true, and the last 5 minutes or so were enough to buy another episode from me. The 22 minutes prior to that were a chore to get through. Hoping it's finished, or revamped completely if they do get another season. Otherwise, I'm out.

Haven't watched the newest one yet but been loving it so far, hope it gets renewed. Characters are A+, just taking it at face value for a cheap laugh...no complaints whatsoever.

It's so grating. I have no problem watching unlikeable characters. But dumb ones just turn me off. He's gone from unlikeable and awkward to just dumb.

back to back HBO ****show comidies from Gervais and company. Did Bored to Death get cancelled to make room for this garbage? maybe Veep will get the ax for a show where Pilkington wears a fat suit (granted this would likely be better than Hello Ladies and the midget show)

Sorry if this has already been answered before, but what are other good forums to discuss TV shows? Primarily for more volume/content re: episode discussion.

There are subreddits for pretty much any tv show that has ever existed on Reddit.

First 3 episodes of Alpha House are now up at Amazon. Pretty good imo for their first original series.

I caught up with the series last night too, funnily. It has become soooooooo soap opera-ish. It was already on the border in season 1, but season 2 crossed well over the line.

The last scene of the most recent episode is the best example of the soapie way that the series has turned into.

Came here to discuss this. I've only seen the pilot so far but I think it has potential.

Hostages keeps getting better and better. Really intense hour of television. Jerry Bruckheimer can't go wrong.

What?!?! Hostages is as close to The Following as there is this season. Remarkably horrible. It seems to have settled down a little, but they still cram a ton of ******ed into every episode.

It's been pretty much established that WG has poor taste in TV, so I wouldn't get your Jimmies too rustled.
