This week, even though she told her boss she wouldn't sign off on the books as they were now, when he asked her about an alternative solution she just said " I won't sign off on them as they are now." Then she asked him how he would explain his criminal actions to his kids.

This is the 1st crack in the armor Skyler has shown wrt to accepting criminal activity. The way things stand now between her and Walt, things will obviously get worse before they get better, but i predict she will eventually come on board with Walt in his business and use her accounting skills to hide his money.

This could really lead to an awesome season 4 in which Walt tries to break off from Saul and Pollos and the resulting conflicts that will arise because of this spilt
This is a very good observation.
I just hope that they end the show within 3 seasons, so this should cover the 2nd half of the season.

Why? Now that Walt's health problems have gone away, the show is completely open-ended.

Particularly because one season doesn't correspond to one year of show time. A few episodes into season 3 and we're like 6 months into the show's time line.

I would be absolutely livid.

I've read somewhere that Vince Gilligan has said that the show would go no more than 4 or 5 seasons.
04-04-2010 , 08:25 PM
I'd be cool with 5 seasons

When does the next episode air?

It wasnt the most exciting episode but I think the next few are going to get a lot better. Like you said this episode is setting things up. I actually became angry at the end of this episode. Skylar i think found a way for walt to leave.

I think it was more skyar getting even with walt - if she has to accept the whole drug thing, then walt has to accept something big too.

lol, at them calling this episode I.F.T.

Now Walt can file for divorce and can say skylar cheated on him making her the bad guy.
04-04-2010 , 11:35 PM
Yay for Ted the ancillary character coming to Walt's bad side! o/u on eps before dude is taking the dirt nap?

I have 2 seasons and 2 eps of hatred built up against Skyler as a character and I love anything that gets her off her high horse. The open invite to call the police was awesome. She's the villain in the show for me.

I love the Walt rage and I can't wait to see how he deals with this.

Maybe, sort of how Jesse turned the tables on his parents with the house situation, but I doubt it. Like he said, he wants his family together, it's why he's doing all of this. Unless he just gives up, like Jesse, and accepts his role as a "bad guy".

3 episodes now just sort of setting the table, lots of angles at play now. The psycho cousins who might not listen to their boss, Gus to hand over Walt once he's done with him (unless that was just a line he was feeding the Mexicans, and they'll go to war or something), Jesse losing Jane forever (now that the voicemail is dead).

What was that bit about the PI on the phone, saying that Saul doesn't need to know about the cousins showing up at Walt's house? I guess he's working for Gus and Saul (or at least knows Saul), but is really with Gus and just sort of playing Saul?

Verrrrrrrry interesting stuff...

Sink pee was awesome.

So was "I ****ed Ted".
04-05-2010 , 12:03 AM
i was glad to figure out what the episode title "I.F.T." meant. i thought it was some kind of mexican DEA.

cousins/tio/pollos stuff was great. jesse stuff, not so much.
04-05-2010 , 12:06 AM
I really liked this episode.
04-05-2010 , 12:23 AM
Jesse needs to snap out of it and do something....it's been like 5+ episodes since he's done anything of significance

i think he's just a free agent. gus is obviously more important and certainly has more firepower so pleasing him comes first

This was Skyler's best episode of the series. The thing I hated most about her character is how she'd never just be real and always was hiding something or holding something back. It drove me nuts. I also called the last line as soon as she walked into the kitchen. I said to my dad, "I bet she says she ****ed that guy." And I meant the word ****ed, I just didn't think screwed or had sex with would have really worked. Props to Gilliam for using the right word even though they had to bleep it.
