Wow, epic fail on my part. I've always thought it was a Prius and never really examined it closely.

EDIT: BTW I edited my post because I Google searched "Breaking Bad" + Prius and my post was already the #1 hit. Wow.

the whole point of the episode is that Walt finally made a real decision, and he decided to protect Jesse. so much of this season has seen Walt lose the bad-assery that he craved when he got cancer-- he's back to working for someone, having Skyler taking control over parts of his life, etc. the easy way out would have been to let Jesse die, but here Walt makes a stand.

it's also the first time he kills someone out of loyalty or morals, rather than expedience or survival.

I'm so glad that there is a breaking bad thread on 2 + 2 bc I need someone to hear me say

"OMFG I LOVE BREAKING BAD SO MUCH!! HANK EXECUTING THAT GUY AFTER SMOKING THEM WITH HIS CAR WAS THE MOST ABSOLUTE SATISFYING EXSTATIC FEELING I HAVE EVER HAD"

Thx for listening.

there can't be two hanks

i'm not sure if that was a reference to how many people in this thread have called walt by hank's name or if it was just another legit name mistake

it happens surprisingly often

Otherwise, decent episode. I didn't think it was the best all time or anything because it's not like Walt hasn't killed someone before. In season one he choked that hispanic drug dealer "friend" of Jessie in his basement, and in season 2 he let Jane choke on her own vomit. Seeing two unlikeable drug dealers getting killed was more of a relief rather than a complete shock. That being said, the scene was still very intense and ended up very dramatic. Well played.

I don't understand how he and Wendy the hooker were going to kill the dealers with the burgers if Walt refused to make him any ricin?

Love the way they ratchet up the tension click by click in this show, so so good.

4 or 5. Nothing is definite yet.

FYI, the finale next week is going to be about 1 hour and 40 minutes long. I can't wait.

Jesse mentioned something about finding the poison on the internet. There are a lot of common substances that will kill a human. I am assuming Jesse had the intelligence to find one that didn't make the burger taste like chemicals and wouldn't make the thugs instantly drop dead, leading to suspicion.

Analysis of the latest episode:

**** YEAH
06-07-2010 , 08:18 AM
No, I didn't like that at all. Everything was so out of character.

1) Junior drives the Aztek to prepare for driver license test. He asks Walt permission to use the Aztec over Skyler's car. Something about "the brakes" on Skyler's car.

2) Jesse is dragged by Mike & assoc. to Gus's office in the desert. He thinks he might get killed, he's totally confused -- then he rounds the corner and sees the Aztek quietly parked. Walt's here.

3) Jesse draws his gun at the two dealers, then... enter Aztek, stage right.

So awesome. Great, great, great storytelling -- the writing, the acting, the editing... I am in love love love.
this this this. The cinematography of this show is just the best on TV right now, and the story so compelling. Altough it also would've been cool if Walt would just go ballin' around with Gus. I'm already sad the finale is coming cause that means we have to wait for so long before we get another fix...

"Run"
+1, Just wanted to add that he windshield of the Aztek has symbolized the state of Walt's life all season. This episode (in walt jr driving scene) we saw it was held together with tape...lol

I absolutely loved this episode and I thought the Hank shooting was over the top.

But the ending wasnt that unrealistic. I am just curious and cant wait for next years finale.

I think there is possibility that the PI saw the ending.

I thought Aaron Paul was sick good this episode imo.
I thought it was the best episode of the season, the tension was incredible.
I dont think anyone was out of character, except for Walt at the end, but it isnt unbelievable. I just dont know how he handles the thing next episode.

Since the contract hasnt been prolonged, isnt there a possibility that the show ends next week?

Have to congratulate myself. Not for identifying the song in two notes. Not for knowing who Wendy would be. Not for expecting a shot of her drinking a root beer once the montage starts. No, I congratulate myself for expecting a shot of her relieving herself in an alley.

the story is so far from complete

there's no way this ends next week

HOLY ****ING ****

For anyone saying this was out of character, or that the scene was unbelievable the show is about a mild mannered, docile HS Chemistry Teacher cooking crystal meth, the pilot put him "out of character". There's been a progression of Walt for 3 years now, he will do what it takes.

Fantastic episode, watched the encore right after.
