BB Blu-Ray is 720p, not 1080

720p x264 episodes should be really easy to find

Had been wanting to watch this since the series started but always seemed to miss it on TV and wanted to make sure I watched from the very begining and in order. Bought the first two seasons today. Just got done watching episode 1. It was done so well. This show really is way above most other dramas out there.

Great to hear it gets better. Funny you mention LOST. It is on my list to get as well. I have never watched a single episode or even followed it at all in the media. I will likely pick it up but could be awhile.

yeah this show is awesome, on a GOAT tier with shows like The Sopranos, The Wire, and Mad Men, imo. probably need to go back and watch the entire series again before S4 starts, at some point. should have plenty of time.

I've done 3 marathons and plan on doing another one right before the new season starts. As much as I love The Wire and The Sopranos, I haven't had close to as many "WHOA" and "WOW" moments in those 2 as I do with BB. It needs 1 more season to put it in my alltime top 5, but I think it'll get there easily. No doubt it's top 3 of currently running shows though.

I suspect if you are unsure if season N or N+1 is better, then whatever the correct answer is you have paid an enormous compliment to N+1.

The later the season the tougher the task with respect to keeping momentum and continuing to grow within the confines of the characters' accreted histories.

This is somewhat strange. It's only been shown on FXUS or whatever hasn't it? Although it did take an incredibly long time for mad men and particularly the wire to gain momentum in popularity over here, which only really came when they were shown on BBC.

I don't see how people can call season 2 perfecct in light of some bad stuff with the wife and her boss, and, more importantly, the ridiculous cheat with the plane crash.

That said, I think 2 > 1 for sure, but really it's not fair to compare season 1 to the other seasons, since it got cut short for the writers' strike.

In any event, I think the 3 is clearly the high watermark for the series, and for serialized suspense on TV.
