I think UM did pretty well all things considered.
Yeah, and in case you haven't heard, Manti Te'o is going to Notre Dame.

So, how does Denard fit in next year?

Michigan returns our starting quarterback (Steve Threet) who was inconsistent during an injury plagued freshman season. Our other incoming freshman QB recruit is Tate Forcier. He is already enrolled and will participate in spring practice. As a result, he will be a step ahead of Robinson. Most UM fans believe Forcier will be the starting quarterback next season.

He's the returning starter, so yes. I expect him to be supplanted by Forcier at some point next season. Who knows when that happens. Maybe Forcier starts from day one. Whether Threet keeps the job or not, QB play will be much improved. The QB will have a lot more experience around him this time around. We return ten starters on offense.

Everybody knows that Forcier is a mobile QB who can run the spread. What I'm excited about, though, is his arm. Jeremy Jackson said that his dad (RB coach Fred) told him in private conversation that Forcier's arm is as strong as Henne's. Everything I've read about him says that he can make all the throws. That's the kind of QB that brings guys like Jeron Stokes and Ricardo Miller to M and that's something to look forward to.

I love Forcier as much as the next guy, but his arm strength is nowhere near Henne's. Not many quarterbacks period have that type of arm strength. I think that's probably a mis-quote.

As for Denard, I fully expect him to take some snaps at QB. Probably won't throw it much, but he's too good of an athlete to keep off the field. They'll try to get him the ball in some different ways.

That's Jeremy Jackson relaying to Tom VanHaaren what his father told him about Forcier's arm strength. It could be a misquote or maybe Fred is exaggerating. I don't know why he would, though, when he is talking to his WR son who will be playing for Michigan in 2010.

Michigan added Delaware State for the 12th game next year. I hate playing I-AA teams (eff FCS), but at least it's not App St. or another I-AA powerhouse.

I'll take all the (probable) wins we can get next year. I'll carp about crappy OOC scheduling when we're not struggling to make a bowl game.

uhh...you must not live in ohio.

if he ran for Senator tomorrow, they'd have a recall of Voinovich, and he'd be in by the end of February. he's like a god here, and people reallyreallyreally don't listen to reason when you tell them how many convicts have come out of columbus..

Most of you have probably already heard/read this but we're getting a commitment from Jerald Robinson out of Canton, Ohio today. That makes three big outside receivers already committed for 2010. Ricardo Miller is considered to be somewhere in the top five prospects in the state of Florida and he may be #1 when all is said and done, so he's very likely a five star. Jackson and Robinson are likely four stars. M is going to be stacked at all of the skill positions but now outside receiver is looking ridiculous.

After bringing in Stonum, Roundtree, Stokes, and now these three (if they all stick...two are locks) LOL at the haters who said Rod would be doing nothing but running the ball ala White/Slaton/WVU and big wideouts would have no interest in coming to M.

Michigan has a ton of early offers out and is getting a lot of interest from some other big names for 2010. It could turn out to be a monster class.

Didn't hear about this. Where is that info from? I hope it isn't true. Threet showed enough last year that he will at least be a valuable backup. If he were to transfer we'd be razor thin again at QB.
