Plus who needs Davis when I have Carter

Agree with Dan that Parker and Gausman are really good (Parker has been great since his early season struggles). I was just really excited to get Davis since I need a power bat, though I am a little scared about whether his is for real.

Yea, I think its going to end up being a really interesting deal. I think you got a legit elite power hitter for 2 1/2 years and a super high ceiling pitcher for 5 1/2 plus the picks. I think I got an elite ceiling hitter for 6 years and 3 above average pitchers with potential to be really good that are also locked up long term.

Well, if we're breaking it down, I thought it was actually reasonably close. I countered dan, but Taveras is an elite, elite prospect, and those guys can pay off huge down the line. It's risky for dan, having most of the value tied up in one player, and obviously he's getting future value for present value, but I don't think it was especially unbalanced.

Now that it's done - curious to see what people think. This is by far the biggest trade I've done in this league, and I have no idea who came out ahead - I can really see this going either way. I guess it was pretty fair since neither side got countered.
I think you got the best of it. I woulda countered but I am in win 2 years down the road mode. At he very least looks like you may have locked up 2nd which is worth real $ now.

Go ahead and PM me any clues or records you may have on that and we'll get it fixed. Thanks for pointing that out.

Have I used my free cuts? I think the spreadsheet says I have none left, but I don't recall cutting anyone.

I see no record of you cutting anyone on espn, so I've reset the number of cuts in the spreadsheet to 4. I have no idea why your number was 0.

I'm investigating this further for all the teams.

You are correct, I did make a mistake, but I think I was able to isolate what happened. Google docs has an archive of all the changes made, so I used that to retrace what I did.

It looks like I forgot to update your "salary adjustments" value to reflect your coverage of Adrian Gonzalez's 2013 salary of $126. Your estimate of $100 (in your PM) was about right - your available salary post-Gonzalez fix is now $115. I've updated the spreadsheet to reflect this.

Another clue was that the Trade Notes section of the spreadsheet did not mention your payment of AGon's 2013 salary, so I added a record of that in there.

I believe I did make the appropriate updates for sergsz payroll, because his numbers seem to make sense after that transaction. No changes for sergsz today.

Thanks again for pointing out the error.

Ok, so I think there was some confusion about exactly how the roster cuts are recorded on the spreadsheet. Earlier in the season we would add to the value each time a cut was used (you hit 4, you're out of freebies).

At some point in the season, this got reversed, so the number was counting down. Probably because this was how we did it in the past and I got mixed up.

At any rate, it doesn't look like this has really affected anyone and I think the mix-up happened pretty recently. So what I'm going to do is just adjust the roster cuts value (the one on the spreadsheet under the "#" symbol) so that it reflects the number of cuts you have used. Once you hit "4" you have no more freebie cuts left.

This is what the corrected/updated value should be for everyone, showing the number of cuts you have used. Guys in bold have zero freebie cuts left (which has been the case for a while for most people).

Rack = 4
Ban = 0
Coff = 4
Exit = 0
Fifield = 4
Danvh = 4

Karak = 0
Levarkin = 4
Muckface = 4
Pecota = 4

Prime = 2
Sergsz = 4
Thayer = 2
