Interesting, I would argue that it is the right wing that steals our tax dollars and distibutes it to those in least need--their rich friends.

I just want people to be paid a fair wage for full time work that allows them to stop their dependence on gov't programs.

Last time I checked the rich pay taxes, too. The gov't is the one taking all your tax dollars.

I'm not really sure what you mean by fair wage. If you are working at Taco Bell making 8 dollars an hour that sounds about fair for that kind of work. If you are welding pipeline in the middle of alaska making 40 bucks an hour that sounds pretty fair for that kind of work, too.

The correct number for wage is that which affords the worker a modest rented home, appropriate food, healthcare, transportation, insurance, etc with a small portion of their income going to savings (~5-10%) so that they could reasonably hope to improve their lifestyle by going to college or home ownership.

Anything other than that is allowing slave wages, imo. In North America no business that pays a sub-living-wage should be allowed to turn a profit.

A generation or two ago, we only needed one income and no credit card to provide a modest living. We have been duped and robbed by the rich and since then and all people seem to say about it is, "why do the poor think they deserve more?"

And anyone can go to college now, because the gov't guarantees loans, no matter what.

I think we need to eliminate the income tax entirely.
