All of my music is mp3, fairly sizable collection. I listen to music pretty much 24/7 and have always been content with the stereo I bought ten years ago in college.

I can afford a nice system now. I don't necessarily want a stereo or whole stereo system though - I just want to rock out to the mp3s that are currently on my PC. I know I shouldn't have to spend $1k on something brutally awesome, but if I HAVE to, well then, I will.

I'm pretty sure a separate media/music PC is not necessary. I have an excellent rig, and don't want another computer. I'm just not sure what route to go. Anyone have some suggestions on what I should start looking at? Is a nice set of speakers going to be the only thing I need? Or are there like external sound card thingamabobbers that would enhance the mp3s or some BS?

I got this because I only listen to music from my PC and my iPOd.
The round thing at the front is volume control and you can plug your Ipod right in there. They are PC speakers but are real good quality sound. Was £200 pretty cheap imo.

I know there was some discussion about this before but I suck at the search function.

What aircards wireless cards do people use as a back up connection? Im looking for something reliable and reasonable to use while I grind this prop out my internet can be spotty sometimes and this coming month wont be good for that.

I think LC did you recently get one or use one?

Yes, I did. They are all pretty much the same WRT to price so I went with the one that seemed to have the best coverage over this way. For me that was Verizon. The aircard iself was essentially free after the rebate and the monthly cost is right at $60/month. You are required to lock into a 2-year contract but the speed and portability is great. I used it on a roadtrip up to northern GA and had pretty much continuous interstate coverage as far as I could tell.

Oh, and although it isn't unlimited, it's definitely sufficient as a good back-up to your existing internet service. I cannot imagine you would ever run over unless you did mega-huge DL's all of the time.

If I've forgotten anything then feel free to ask but think that basically covers it...

I have a couple of possible openings for 200nl+ FR coaching.
PM for rates and more info if you think you would be a good fit.
Preference will be given to students willing to commit to something long term.

note: I will consider students who currently play 100nl and are looking to move up to 200+, however there are much more economical options for students looking for coaches at this limit.
