Has anyone tried the OptiShot? I was leaning towards that one.
I looked into it awhile ago but people I talked to said it just wasn't that realistic. Feedback was that it's an awesome video game but not going to help much with your swing.
I'll have both for much less when I'm done. Waterproof marine quality tarp incoming for the cage plus parts to convert the top to a low peak. Projector/screen will follow. PC running GolfClub in the shed and doing HDMI extender for the projector, SkyTrak is wifi.
For some reason, the indoor solutions do not appeal to me. Maybe that will change after this winter, but I plan to be out there in the sim with a fire going all the time.
It is very awesome, and if you have the money well worth it. First thing I am splurging on when I find high enough ceilings is skytrak with the Golf Club Game though.
I got my Steam Link yesterday and got that working, so I was able to pickup The Golf Club Game today and get that running on the Skytrak in the cage.
It's freaking awesome.
Played Pinehurst #2 and shot 92. Couple false fronts just killed me and putting overall is going to take a bit to get use to. It's really damn good though.
I can relate to this. Played yesterday and I was seriously questioning my laser distances. At least three times I hit a flush iron and flew the green. I try to shoot the number at least twice to double-check (and also reference the 150 stick) but yesterday was especially frustrating.
Any current/former Taylormade R9 driver users here? I'm still gaming it, and have been fighting thru some confidence issues with it, at least until my round today, where everything seemed to come together, at least from a ball strike standpoint. Before that, I was considering an update, maybe to something like the SLDR/R1. If you've played the R9 before & found success with something further down the road, tell me your story. I tried my Dad's RBZ on the range and couldn't hit the damn thing for ****.
can't stop. going in for a 3rd round today. started the online q-school, first round 86 @ black brook golf course (probably fake, dunno)
starting to get the chipping down & putting down a little better. you get gimme's inside 6', so that helps a ton. the skytrak has issues picking up really short putts.
