also they were some sort of maxfli ball not sure what exactly. I think the Pro v1x or NXT tour may be better for me but not sure. I use NXT when playing where I don't care too much about scoring and v1x for when I want to score.

I was coming in here actually to post about getting fit. Just an FYI for people. Be weary of getting fit at big box stores like PGA Superstore and whatever else there is.

We had a kid that just left our outside staff/cart staff to go work at a PGA Superstore recently, and just this past weekend they had him doing a bunch of fittings. Naturally he has no idea how or what to do as he has had no training or education on the subject and PGA Superstore had not trained him. He barely plays any golf. What a train wreck.

Just make sure whoever is fitting you knows what they are doing.
I got an R1 driver from PGA Superstore a few weeks ago. I went there because they will do the fitting for free as opposed to charging $30 like Golf Galaxy. I hit it ok according to their simulator, but never felt comfortable with it on the course. After hitting a bunch of bad drivers playing on Saturday and thinking about this post I went to Golf Galaxy to have them check it out.

Long story short the lie angle, loft, and face angle all had to be adjusted. I'm average height so I thought it was kind of weird the person at the Superstore had me using an upright setting..... I hit of bunch of balls with it yesterday and it felt great and the ball flight was exactly what I was looking for.

So yes, make sure whoever does the fitting actually knows what they are doing.

http://flightscope.com/index.php/Tec...optimizer.html

With your ballspeed, launch angle(11*), and spin rate, flightscope says that ball should carry 298 yards. Now I've heard of quite a few simulators at big stores like that being set to have a decent tailwind so the simulator says you hit it further than you actually do.

Overall, the numbers look pretty good. Regarding long drive, if your swing speed is around 116 mph with a normal driver I have to assume you are nowhere close to long drive competitors. A 116 average wouldnt even crack the top 40 on Tour much less the ReMax guys.
Yup my driver SS is 116-118 average depending on the time of year. I have a driver pretty locked in, and if I really optimize for carry distance I carry it about 290. 311 carry is more than a big tailwind.

Also, if your driver SS is 116 you're in x+ territory for shafts. All my shafts are dialed in between 6.6 and 6.8 on the PX scale. That's all aftermarket stuff.

Trevino on Feherty is just awesome. The matches he played in the early 60's against degens for big money had to really be something...everybody was vaselining and you were allowed 1 club lenght everywhere so you didn't have to watch your opponent.

Those guys just didn't know what they were walking into!

Re Bandon:
Made a couple if trips with some of the partners at my old firm. Great time and definitely a must as states above.
Prices given look about right. I would say book a week in case of bad weather.
Now that I am on the west coast I am going to try to get up there annually.

Re 13k debt:
Do you anticipate further invites to play with these guys whether or not you give them a discount? If you think it will help your chances, i'd say cut it down to 8 or 9.

This effectively just lowers the swing weight of the club I'd guess? Is that right?

I mean, I get the guys point. There are a couple holes on my course where if I'm hitting driver no matter what, the shot is easier from further back.
How does that help him when the blues are probably rated much easier than the tips?

His accuracy should be a little better clubbing down from the blues but when I said relatively speaking I meant in terms of the course rating and slope. The tips may be rated 3 shots harder than the blues but for his game, playing from the tips may only be a 1-2 shot difference compared to the blues.

NH
If he keeps texting reply back with "Dude I was drunk, too. I have no recollection of how much I won of who I won it from. Sorry." Then moments later send another one "So yeah we should probably both stop drinking."

Then 10 minutes later text him with "I was wondering how in the hell I bought all these bear skin rugs for my house. I blacked out and the next morning I had roughly 13 grand in bear skin rugs. Just all over the place. ****ed up man. Anyway, later."

So I'm overdue for new clubs and I'm thinking of spending money on basically a complete bag overhaul. I know hardly anything about buying clubs now a days so what should I be looking for and where should I go for reviews and stuff? Is it more about just going to a pro shop and hitting with the club to see how you like it, or are there more considerations I should look out for? I am about an 18 handicap (don't keep one but estimating rounds) if that makes a difference. I do know that club fitting is an absolute must so that will happen.

Exactly. ****s legal now so do lines then rip your opening drive 350. Putting may be hard though when you are all amped up on DAS.

Also, moose teeth powder > deer antler spray. And grizzly bear claw granules aren't far behind. Mix GBCG with 5 hour energy and shoot the low round you've dreamed of.

She can play. Looks damn good also. Wasn't she engaged to one of the hosts and not anymore. That guy lost his job also.

I know she can play. I meant her "handicap" is that her tits are so large that they create an outrageous P-Delta and she falls forward when trying to walk.

I probably should have said she has extra trouble keeping her weight on her heels on ball-below-feet lies.
