Went to Walmart to scout out there refurbed balls, they had 48 cheap but they were mediocre at best balls that I wouldnt like at all... they then had a 24pack of Nike refurbs for ~15 but they just didnt look in good shape. They also had 12 ProV1s for $24 in good shape but just didnt want to spend money since I was looking for meh balls so they had a Wilson ball for $15 for 24

pull one out of the box and while they were not super soft, they were reasonable feeling as compared to some Titleist and Nikes I hit... if they suck then I simply use them for a couple holes to warm up and move on to a better ball in my bag which is what I do usually

hmm not that I ever found it, but I'm pretty certain it was in someone's yard/pool/skylight. But hey, it's marked as a hazard, no ob.

Also, by the way, I don't understand my golfing abilities. I'm literally 50 yards behind me brother in law all day long (I'm hitting it 270-280) and he is 60 pounds lighter and 3 inches shorter than me. Then, suddenly on 18, we both hit driver down the middle and I'm 20 yards past him.

I think that's variance, not "golfing ability".

Your BIL drives it 325?

Got invited to a private club outting this weekend at Whistle Bear golf club outside Toronto. Buddy said the greens are rolling 11-12 on the stimp! gonna be insane

http://whistlebear.ca/

I walked the course for a Nationwide event like 6 years ago and watched Jon Mills shoot 63, can't wait to repeat his score. (yah right)

That is horrible. Does Canada have any nice looking golf courses?

I've played a course that long before, and all I can say is that I hope the fairways are as wide and the greens as big at the course you are playing lol. 77.1 rating...love courses like that. And fast greens make me hard.

Scored a Superfast TP with a Tour AD DI-6s for $130. Sold the head and slapped an R11 sleeve on the shaft. This one might work out well.

Has anyone used the PureBallStriker (PBS) training aid? I got one and it doesn't seem to be working, I think I am using it wrong.

How do the following items affect driver distance?

Heat
Humidity
Elevation

Heat helps
Humidity hurts
Elevation helps

As for how much, I don't have a clue. I know when I play in Montana things go quite a bit further since it's dry and elevated a lot, but I can't throw out numbers without totally guessing.

They've been saying on NBC that the ball goes about 10-12% further in Colorado Springs (6000 ft elevation).

Pretty crazy. Is that compared to sea level?

When I was like 18 I played a course in Leadville, CO which was supposedly the highest-elevated course in the US. I remember hitting it much further. The 1 or 2 times I hit a decent drive that is.

Humidity helps. Humid air is less dense than normal atmospheric air.
