not a doctor, but there are many web resources you can find. seems like the running/jumping/leg press stuff should stop for the time being.

still good, but not obligatory:

I did my Plantar Fasciitis in football/soccer, Kinda sounds similar to what you are going through. From what I remember it can be extremely painful. Took me a good 6 months to get over it fully. I didn’t help it though as I tried to play sooner than I should of multiple times.

After this I just had a lot of rest and ice it and when I come back to play again I had a lot of sports tape on.

Just take the Moe Norman attitude as a walk in a beautiful setting. Looks a little like Pine Valley but I don't think they allow carts.

Awesome. 23 full official rounds. Another dozen or so best-ball rounds as part of tournaments and practice rounds/scrambles, etc.

Thanks. First year at my CC and I'm sure it's by far the most rounds I've ever played in a season.....with still some time left.

Yeah - I hope in the coming years to find a place to live at a club or course that I could play a lot; would love to play twice as often. Seems the best way to really improve is to play a lot and have a place to practice.

96 official in GHIN so far this year. That includes only 13 in the first 3 months of the year due to my broken hand.

I'm at 39, I started late and didn't record all my rounds via the app. It's saying I'm averaging 2 per week. Most of it is my local course which only takes like 3 hours to get around.

When you live on a golf course and you are not on the road for work still....

Very happy.

The clubs I got fitted for and ordered on May 5th finally arrived last week after a minor tweak of what I originally ordered. Now that I have a brand new pair of nice clubs how do I take care of them? Give me all the basics as if I'm a total no0b. Just wipe down after every shot with a towel and water? Brush them after each round?

Also, this is a very dumb question, but I bought a little clip to clip my towel to the ring on my bag, but when I put it on my click gear cart it drags along the ground. Is there a special smaller clip I'm supposed to use to attach my towel to my bag? Or is my towel just too long. One is from Callaway and one is from Short Par 4 and both at the same problem.

Hard to say without a visual, could be either. Possible solutions - have the towel ride on top of the bag, use a shorter towel, attach it differently.

I have a pretty regular golf towel -- not a supersized one --attached to the bag I use when I use my clicgear and I just have it ride on top of the bag. If I was going to use a bigger towel I wouldn't clip it and instead would just have it in between a couple of clubs and hanging down on either side.

I didn't realize stuffing it in the top of the bag was even an option. LOL me. Gonna do that. Thanks!

some of the towels i use are rather long and rub against the clicgear tires when clipped to the bag. i just loop them back through the handle and let them hang down, which is more convenient after a shot anyway since that's where you'll be standing and where the clubs go into the bag.
i also clip my rangefinder case to the horizontal piece of metal that's just under the handle/flip lid compartment so it's always handy.

i think we all know about driving range hits vs. on-course hits. at driving range, you can usually hit way behind the ball and still make very good contact (ball might not go straight)

but i was wondering how people find hitting of those big rubber tees at driving range. i find i have really wildness issues which i don't have at the actual course. does the rubber tee "hold onto the ball" for split second thereby causing hooks?.... it seems like using wooden tee on course = much smaller target but less variability on drives.

For me it helped me a bit, Usually the rubber tee’s are fairly high so I started hovering the driver and now I just take it to the course. I can’t speak for massive hooks or slices though as generally I don’t really have these massive curvature on my shots,

It’s also handy doing it this way to get rid of some of the sound when the clubs clatter, More found when carrying your bags.

i try to avoid hitting off synthetic mats at all costs, but when the seasons turn where i'm at i have no choice. as for the tee question, i carry a couple of these in my winter bag so i can tee it up more like i'm used to. just swap them out for and put your own tee in them to the height you want. the biggest trick is not forgetting them when you leave the range.

Awkward situation I've never ran into yesterday and I contributed, ha. After a bad 18 I went back out around 4:00 for what thought would be a quick nine. I tee off on 10 (a par 3), and as I'm teeing off I see two guys on the next tee below me talking and doing a bunch of practice swings. There was another group ahead, but they were an entire hole ahead, so they weren't waiting for them.

I finish 10 and drive down, and as I get closer they stop and look back towards me. Of course I'm thinking they're going to wave me through, so I pull up quick, jump out of the cart and grab my driver. As I'm doing this the guy says, "hey there, we were just messing around." Ok, yeah, no problem. The awkward part is as I'm teeing up my ball, they both introduce themselves. It dawned on me at this point they never said, "go on through," and I'm kind of caught off guard for a second, and then introduce myself, ha. I hit my shot and thought there still might be a point where they say, "why don't you go ahead," but it never came, they went to their balls and hit, and I ended up playing five holes with them before dipping, lol. It sounded like they play a decent amount of golf, so I really don't know what they were thinking. Maybe they really DID think they had waved me through and thought it was weird I didn't acknowledge it.

Anyways, just kind of weird and don't think I've experienced that. I felt too awkward after all that to say, "mind if I just go ahead, I don't have much time" (which was true).

TL;DR: Playing as a single, came across a situation where I definitely should have expected to play through, but guys instead just had me join them despite a completely open course.

Side note: One of the guys had a beautiful driver swing and hit the ball straighter and longer than anyone else I've see at the club (and there's some good golfers). Couldn't do a damn thing even average beyond that. A shame.

Technically, you had no status on the course because you went off #10. The group on #11, who I assumed teed off on #1, had been casually going about their business as nobody was behind them. But you can’t expect them to all of a sudden wave you through after starting right behind them.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s no biggie either way. But they would have been within their rights if they didn’t let you through.

They had actually gone off on #10 as well. Still, I've never looked at playing through as a status or rights thing anyway, just an etiquette thing (I remember way back when everyone at my course would say, "singles don't have a right to play through;" no clue if that's true). Even this didn't make me upset (I like playing with people, although it wasn't my expectation), and it never crossed my mind that they might HAVE to (or not have to) let me play through, just a bit flummoxed because it was far from what I expected. And I did kind of expect them to wave me through from a courtesy perspective since they were doing more than "going about their business." When I started on #10 they had already hit their tee shots, and one of the guys was legit giving the other one a swing lesson for the entire time I played a hole (albeit a par 3) and took a few extra practice putts.
