I know though that koon has zero affiliation, he just found k2d's blog interesting and linked to it, that isn't spamming. It's overmoderation IMO if we can't link to other 2p2ers blogs because they're funny, or it's related to the conversation, or whatever, and get our posts edited.

Your points have already been addressed. Monetary affiliation is not the only form of affiliation. Aside from that, I'm still not sure you've read what I quoted for you.

While I don't need to explain why I did that to the post (I'm an all powerful mod) ill humor you: I am not going to go through the trouble to edit what is essentially an advertisement for Dante, and I'm definitely not going to do it while on my phone.

I'd also like to point out that a less lenient mod would likely have just deleted the post and infracted koon.

Pretty much any link to any blog belonging to a poster in this forum is getting infracted. Refer to the post I've been referring to and am still not sure you have read (although your last post makes a good case for you just not comprehending it) as to why.

I read it, it says person X linking to person Y's blog would only not be allowed if there was suspicion of it being done on person X's behalf.

Why does that mean 'pretty much any link' to another 2p2ers blog would be deleted then? You would suspect pretty much everyone of posting on other people's behalf? Seems overly suspicious in a small subforum.

Uh the small subforum is a good reason for why it is suspicious. I edited out a good portion of that quote because I was focusing on the rule and not why the rule is the way it is. Pretty much I'm not expected to, nor going to, check everyone's affiliation to every blog post they link. As k2ds empire of ebooks and blogs grow it's very possible that I infract some unlucky person who was just trying to share their favorite blog post and had no idea that our very own k2d was THE DANTE, but that is just bad luck for them.

Once again its not my rule, but i have to enforce it. The rule is not lenient and I am not supposed to be lenient when enforcing it. If you are still curious about this then take it to pm.

not only does 25k go a long way in the philippines (i currently spend 11kish a year but will gradually increase up to around 18k a year if things continue as they have, any more then that is basically just wasting money for the purpose of wasting it) there is also another 5k a year i will make from rakeback, 5k a year i will make from side work....... and i sold 10 ebooks in one day the other day and still have 3 more written to be released, and the blog will clearly be making millions soon as well....

add it all up and hopefully in 2-3 years i can forget poker ever existed and do 4 or 5 hours of stupid boring online work a day to cover the majority of my expenses

Actually the pay in China can be pretty good.

I had no degree whatsoever, was at best a mediocre teacher, and some of my jobs paid around $30 an hour.

If you are a good teacher, establish yourself as such, and are smart about how you handle things you can make a good bit more than that.

I don't know what SuperUberBob makes, but it's certainly possible to be making much more than 25k a year teaching there.

Private teachers can make pretty outrageous amounts of money. I have friends who charge 100 usd an hour and get students. I have another who charges 50 but will only do a class of 5 or more students.

There is a market for higher level teachers as well where starting salary is 60k and goes up beyond 100k base.

Either way, lol69 is not going to get his wish of K2 returning home anytime soon to get a 'real career' in which K2 would hate his life even more.
