it's an hour BUS ride and it's $2.50.

it's been explained 5 times to you already but you insist on taking the much more expensive train.

i dont insist on either cuz im not going to take either

and clearly if im not willing to pay the $2.50 then what i said all along is true, its more about the travel then the money

but you insist on making it about the money

The US is ridic expensive these days if you don't live rural. Any major city (where most jobs are) and you're talking 1k'ish absolute minimum for some AirBnB room or 2k'ish for a studio (without a job he won't qualify for a normal tenancy agreement) + loads of money for uber or a car outside of NYC / SF (good luck getting an unskilled job there).

Given that he's not a super social guy it could take 6 months until he gets a job if he doesn't plan to flip burgers in the sticks somewhere.

He could go back to live poker as well (I think he played in vegas before) but live is slow and variance takes much longer to even out, so he'd need a decent roll as well and pray that he doesn't get doomswitched.

I don't think he will. Tune is 2min walk away from KLIA2 and the airport got decent food options + drug stores and everything you need. It's a good place to pull off a short stay if you can't be bothered to see the city.

i'm trying to work out how it's not worth someone's time to actually go into the city when all it involves is sitting on a comfortable $2.50 bus for one hour each way (i usually fall asleep during the journey).

considering he's going to spend 2 days hanging around the airport doing NOTHING, it really doesn't matter if it takes 2 minutes or 2 hours to get to a hotel.

i'm amazed about dante's complete lack of curiosity or interest in the world. he'll walk an hour to deliver a fan to someone, but won't sit on a $2.50 bus for an hour to experience a city he doesn't know.

To have the privilege to travel around the world, dish out cash for a flight and then balk at an entire country because you don't want to spend $2.50 (or God forbid $10) to leave the airport for its capital city is pretty sad.

I look at going to stay in America on a permanent basis and I realize that it's a bad idea. Traveling around for a lifetime is pretty cool. But to not take advantage of it because you can't bring yourself to spend $10 is a waste imo.

Couldn't imagine going to Prague, getting there at midnight as I did a couple years back and saying "omg I have to take a taxi because there's no public transport now. Well might as well not visit."

it doesn't suck. cities like KL and singapore only suck in comparison to somewhere like bangkok. why would you go to KL or singapore to have a good time when you can just go to bangkok.

but you are going to KL, you do have two days there, why not enjoy it. it costs nothing to explore except some bottles of water from 7-eleven.

start a gofundme, if enough people chip in $1 you can get the train + club cover

come back the night before flying

because im not a miserable troll living in my moms basement in canada so can pick and choose my spots maybe?

if i was like you and had 2 weeks a year where i was around girls that would talk to me then obviously i wouldnt waste the time, but since i live here all the time and know im never paying a $10 cover to try and pay a hooker $100 whats the point?

to go walk up and down some street that has lots of bars on it, sounds fun

clearly my goal wasnt to go to KL to have fun, i have flown through their many times and this time decided to spend a little time checking it out, upon further research i have now realized its more trouble than its worth

really not a big deal

i have spent a lot of time in south-east asia this year. i can pack more fun in 4 or 6 weeks in south-east asia than you do in 5 years.

like i said, i haven't been to beach club in years. wouldn't you want to see it once to just know what it is guys waste their money on. for a lousy 10 bucks. that includes an alcoholic drink. live a little.

it is if you're not too cheap to drink alcohol. not drinking alcohol is not about your headaches. it's because you're cheap.

i make the best of the situation if i'm on a stopover. obviously the thought of going into KL with the bus, then the train transfers, having to walk to your hotel is giving you anxiety.

your last blogpost says you spent 1k, allow yourself 1.5k but never hit it. why not take the 500 saved and put it towards a nice malay freelancer

you sure seem to think you know a lot more about me than you actually do.... lol at me not drinking because of the cost

anxiety about a train and walking to the hotels? you should probably just stop, its amazing how i can so clearly state my reasons on message boards and no one ever believes them

Maybe u should write a travel guide for three-hole loving basement dwellers.
