That's not true at all for Romania. Lived there for 3 months and the people are actually quite upbeat, and my romanian friends who are on the sweet side had no trouble at all getting laid.

As for the 20 year lease, not sure that could even compute in Dante's head. He is just trying to get through this week as cheaply as possible. Basically that are selling you a condo for X amount of $, and putting 1Mil extra on the price and getting you a Thai elite card

Also you can get an investment visa anyway, you just need to own a condo in your own name *valued (at a rough guess) 15Mil baht or have 15mil baht in government bonds and your set! Bonds even pay an annual yield (as long as preforming).
