Maybe this is a GGO but I just realized I probably screwed a guy at work.

We have lockers at work with electronic locks. I dislike when people don't use the locks because they are super simple to set and when they're in use a red light is on, so it's easy to find empty ones.

Anyway I always lock mine. When I was leaving today I tried to unlock the locker I thought I had, but it didn't open. I realized I was one to the left and opened the right locker.

The thing is, the same sequence is used to set a code as to unlock a locker, so I just locked his locker for him, with a code that's unknown to him. Whoops!

Then again he probably put that **** in there 3 months ago and forgot it existed.

Yeti, both of those seem standard to me, though perhaps a little more surprising given he's based in a gym. Curious to know his reasoning behind bagging the couch stretch though.

thx aidan.

to be clear it's two guys, first guy based in a gym, second guy more of a biking/triathlete focus but was recommended by a friend.

yeah i kinda cut him off and didn't let him give his reasoning but he seemed to be going into an anecdote about some guy blowing out something (i would assume by just diving right into the upward position which of course you are not supposed to do if you don't have the required flexibility). also of note is that of the 4 stretches he has recommended to me, one is just the standard standing quad stretch where you pull the ankle up behind you, heh.

I would like to know this as I regularly do this stretch.

Yeah, any drill or stretch done badly isn't great. I think the couch stretch done poorly can put strain on the low spine, and maybe some bouncing could cause a disc rupture, but...

As for the guru thing, I'm going to guess it's just smaller bubbles than we think. I tried to advise my brother in law to watch some mwod stuff to help with a recurring hamstring strain he gets from football, but he couldn't get past the weight training/barbell aspect to it.

I also am led to believe it is Mr MALTS' birthday*. He's probably crying tears into a tub of fage as we speak.

*or at least it is in the land of the future, NZ#178.

second trainer also started a sentence with 'i was reading a book by malcolm gladwell, and in it he said that it takes...'

i was incredibly relieved when the end of that sentence wasn't '...10,000 hours to perfect something'.

God no kidding. Malcom ****ing Gladwell.

There's a certain kind of pedanticism that really bugs the **** out of me. It's when someone takes some commonly held misconception, and "corrects" it with another misconception that sounds nice/interesting but's actually bull****. My cohort, especially as it ages, is so ****ing prone to this. Any "fact" that contradicts some common belief is fertile ****ing ground.

Some things you just don't say aloud. Take that secret to the grave, yo.

Then why not just unlock it again yourself?

It didn't occur to me until I got home. There's a chance I'm wrong, too, and that guy had his locker locked and I just failed to open it because he actually used a combo and not 1111.

No tears though, pretty happy with how this last year went. I hope for another year of remaining exactly the same in all aspects except the amount of time it takes to cut the hair on top of my head.
06-02-2015 , 11:24 PM
So you want to lose your hair? I hope every year my haircuts don't get shorter, but they do.

Actually, I can't complain too much. I started to notice my hair thinning over 10 years ago and I still have mostly full head coverage.

QB,

What I want has nothing to do with it.

Happy birthday Monte. Another year celebrating the anniversary of your birth.

I hope the masturbatorium does not have to see use tonight, Monte.

I had a tooth pulled for the first time yesterday morning. spent the rest of the day eating homemade baby food, watching The Sopranos, and popping hydrocodone.

I can't figure out why people like pain pills so much. I felt fun for like 30 minutes and then started forgetting things and slept for 13 hours. switching back to ibuprofen.

Sounds like you need to balance them out with some uppers. PM pummi for specifics.
