I feel like he missed an opportunity not writing out "Two Thousand Fifteen Anno Domini", but I agree that his effort was good and he should feel good. Since that will not happen, I look forward to his self hating response that will mention a mix of BDD and hatred of feminism.

A goal of mine for April was to squat 315x5x3 again and while I didn't get it then, I did get it in May, so that's good. Form wasn't great and I'll be filming next time I do squat tree plates to see how it looks.

June Goals

Get a good tan
Start going to a barbell club
Improve external rotation in my left arm (dunno how I'm going to test this though)
Stretch and roll more

i have been to two physical therapists the last 12 months.

the first guy was part of a team operating alongside a small gym set up. after initial diagnosis, massage and prescription of stretches, there was clearly a long-term goal of getting their customers to work out in a gym to help them get more active and strong to prevent further injury. squats were specifically mentioned. he then asked what i do in the gym and it turned out he had never heard of starting strength / rippetoe.

on the second occasion a guy asked what stretches i do and i demonstrated the couch stretch. he then later declared it to be an 'awful, awful stretch, never do that again'. i was kinda taken aback by this and said 'oh, er, yeah, kelly starrett is a huge proponent of that sooo idk what to believe now haha'. again, he didn't know of k-star/mobilitywod. when later chastising me again for doing that stretch he did say 'no disrespect to the crossfit dude' in a condescending tone which made me laugh though.

i understand that i'm somewhat living in an internet bubble, and both of these conversations are taking place outside of the US (lolaustralia). however, i still find this to be pretty weird and would expect people who live and work in these areas to be familiar with these people. thoughts?
