Failed left 2x failed 2nd rep of both sets with right. Clearly focusing on rack/OH positions and guiding the bell with two hands supplanted the need for actually being strong enough to lift it.

First two were eye level, last set was chest level. Oh well. Stretched and foam rolled a bit. May doing some GPP later, may not. Dun curr.

When the dark times pass then you feel better mentally - except for the "floating pain".

GheyCon
5M AMRAP 10x 2p High Pull/10x Pushups

5r. I suck at pushups. I'd rather do 10 round of high pulls (head high), then this. lol

Stretching.

IDK what that's from or what it's about but I assume it's referring to SAD. It just started getting nice out here (Rhode Island) and it's crazy how much better I feel compared to just weeks ago during the winter.

I know, not allowed to post, etc. etc.

Please don't violate log rules. Even if your intentions are good. (Making fun of SHOT, lolling at niblets, posting lulz, etc)

Its a Broz quote referring to the QQing that comes from every lifter. See SmileyEH log for more evidence of the "dark times". Though I'm unsure wtf the "floating pain" refers to. I'm upping my training volume and going to try to be more "self-aware". And train as much as possible without grinding myself into a cortisol filled nycballer sized bitch.

Took a earlier session of ~30m to warmup, foam roll, stretch etc. Probably will skip a fagcon tomorrow unless I manage to get good sleep finally.

I might do the RKC fagtest tomorrow. I just don't know folks. I just don't know.

PS: SmileyEH, our faithful moderator, has sought revenge for my lolling at his legs by trolling my facebook. While I'm aware of the detriments of multi-front warfare (See Germany circa 1941), I may be forced to defend my boundaries.

I taped my left wrist to do the RKC test. This is against the rules. And I only did 52 reps. As I'm not aware of my weight, I don't really care. Took ~3m. lol. I suppose there could be qqing about using the corkscrew technique and how there is a hitch on later reps on the eccentric. But I dun curr.

Afaik, the current rkc test is 100 snatches with 24kg in 5 minutes regardless of bodyweight.

Joints felt terrible. I felt terrible. Knees feel worse than terrible. Dark times imminent. Though... I look great. Perhaps tomorrow I'll just stretch for a bit and massage and practice some ghey stuff.

I think pistols are pretty ******ed in general. What about racking 2 heavy kbs (never tried it) and squatting with both legs at the same time?

You'll never rack enough to be worthwhile for strength development. You quite literally have no other options other than unilateral ones, and most of those have balance issues especially the the awkwardness of the loading.

I may try to do some lighter dynamic efforts once it gets warmer and I can go outside and see how my knees feel about that.

how about you get a big sack/backpack and just throw all your kbs in there and then put it on your back or something? Or you could just carry logs over your head in the forest or some ****.

Maybe Boris has some good deals on squat stands and a ****ty bar or something?

Ah, another idea. Get some chain big enough to hold 2 or 3 kbs, and get a caribiner. Or get some thick-ish rope length and some way to connect the ends. Put the 2-3 kbs in the loop, and carry one loop in each hand.

Did it ever occur to you in that nonsensical rambling that virtually no one is able to clean a worthwhile load to build maximal bilateral strength?

The only exceptions being a few incredibly efficient Oly lifters.

None of my ideas would require cleaning. You could set the kb's on a table or some **** and set everything up and get into the rack position from there.

thremp, WIM. You could, you know, squat down a bit to get to the weight.

btw how much weight can you rack with both hands for a front squat? And are BSS's completely out of the picture now that you're getting grinding in your knees? I can't imagine getting hurt doing those and then being able to do pistols without pain. Mind boggling. The BSS's seem like one of your only decent options for the balls.

Did another archaic RKC test. 76 in 4:50

I'm shorting reps consistently. wtf. Maybe its partly due to having no clue how much I weigh or getting distracted by shiny things. 100 is lolfar away IMO. lol cardiotarding though IMO

They're not really effective for building strength. You need to have adequate flexibility/balance and a preferential build for them. I can pistol more than many people far stronger than me. It is also hard on the knees for most people as any sort of balance issue put the torque on the knee/hip/etc, or a flexibility problem will do likewise. Its like doing a OH squat to get strong, it just makes no sense.

so why not squat to get strong, and then use pistols to develop that strength into something more specific... to develop all the other little friend muscles necesary to balance for pistols.

I don't have a barbell or a squat rack or a gym membership. Which may have to change as I'm unsure of what I'm going to do at this point.
