I had this dream where I was having a conversation with someone. He asked me 'how does your back feel?' I said great. 'Whe was the last time you squatted?' Silence from me and I started crying. The powerlifting dream is dead. I thought I gave it a good shot and there may be one more. But need to get an MRI first or see a professional versed in the subject matter (cressey or mcgill).

25.4k, just gone? Holy ****balls.
Thanks bro. No worries, I have a goal to get it back this month. Preferably before the 15th. But no time for sleep. It must be worked back. There was some fantastic news about work and the income is momentarily off the charts.

And losing the bag made me accidentally find the work. So I am pretending they are related so I feel better.

Somehow left out the last part of that post, i.e. that the goal in that prop bet was laughably lofty (as everyone pointed out). Your bench is, after all, pretty solid and it's taken you some time.

Impressed about the zen-like attitude, but great news (share?) and upswongs would certainly help.

Damn sucks about the 25k. Pretty salad barg that you're not really that upset about it.

I can't go back in time so must move on.

I am also contemplating having zero income for 2014. Thus Uncle Sam swallows the whole loss. Lol. Benefits of professional gambling. But I wouldn't do that, gotta pay taxes to buy shiet.

That's bad news loco. 2014 was a year of sickening losses that never should have happened. I hope karma brings you some unexpected scores in 2015.

Does your boy Candito do MRI checks? I'm sure his prices are reasonable.

Sorry about your bad luck. Sounds like you have a great attitude about it though.

Sucks about the chips, man.
Hope they'll find their way back to you, somehow.

If not, sounds like you have your mind in the right place and grinding boots on already tho, so that's good.
Merely a setback, is all.

If poker's good for anything else outside the poker world, it is the teaching of dat patience and stoic mindset.
Why get emotional about situations you have very little control over?

The chips are gone for sure. The people at rental agency are lying. Twice they said they looked at video and didn't know which car the chips were in.

Yesterday I returned my rental car and I talked to a new guy. He looked at video and within 5 minutes told me the plates of the toyota Camry I was sure I left the bag in. Says it has been rented 4 times already. He called the first customer and nothing. Pretty sure the manager just kept the bag.

After losing the bag I am up 27k. So no big deal just mad about the scum at the rental agency. I can't even file a police report, there is no evidence of me leaving the bag in the toyota Camry.

I think the best way to get the back bag is to work more and be cheap. I can't say oh I am up 27k the last two weeks so let's call it even. Nope, must be punished.

All nighter Saturday. Saved $80. Worked 8 hours at $50 an hour on awful Khalynyork game from 1am to 9am. Also scouted 2 hours work stuff and I am paying myself $100 an hour (way too cheap because I will find valuable games). I would have done none of this because I was taking Saturday night off.

EV is $80 + $400. $200 scouting. $680 of 25.4k recovered.

So you are running about 27k above expectations for the last two weeks?

Or you simply are only counting "overtime work" winnings towards the 25.4k?

This right here.

And basically my overtime work is slimy $25 an hour to $150 an hour crap with higher variance that I normally scoff at. Oh and of course I saved $80 last night by not having to get a hotel.

I have try something. Because after winning the 27k I realized I wasn't working harder. My buddy and I just got lucky that we ran into a freaky 1k an hour situation. These are very rare. So I just can't say I got my back bag so let's move on. Nope, I have to be honest. There is still a deep sadness about losing so much money like that. So I am playing a game with myself so I feel better.

11/13
Weight: 160

Finally got a workout in. Did a circuit of strength training

Comp bench 4x4 (215) - failed last rep
Slow Wide pull-ups 4x4 (+30)
DB Bulgarian split squats 4x5 (ramping up to 60s)
DB SLDL 4x5 (ramping up to 70s)
More lats and calves

The lowerbody stuff was super light. But my rest was super short and got tired because my cardiovascular is awful. Going to try similar workout on Friday but higher reps.

LowBack feels great. But I sneezed the other day and felt it, so like the Jdock, sounds like this is with me for life.

"Like I said ... you have the lower body, and you have no upper body, you got a problem, you got a problem building ... wait a minute. You have the upper body, and you have no legs, you have the upper body you have no legs, you got a problem building your legs. You have the upper...you have the you have the lower body and you don't have the upper body, the upper body, it is easier to build. So if you have the lower body and you don't have the upper body, it is easier to build the upper body. You have the upper body and you don't have the legs, you got a problem, building the lower body ... NO, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! You HAVE, the upper body, but you don't have the lower body, you got a problem building downstairs. You got the up- the legs on the bottom, it's it's easier to build on the top, so you don't have much as a problem. Yeah."

Loco, fwiw, I had a sustained period sometime last year where I would feel my lower-back/lumbar spine every time I sneezed, but, nowadays, try to sneeze as hard as one might, it doesn't happen anymore.
