Kind of makes sense if they want to book Jacare soon (think the earliest he can fight is Sept) and then have rockhold-weidman dec 5 at msg. dont rly know if theres time though to do that.

I got the feeling that his point was kind of acceptance of 'interim' belt and asking for JBJ fight to make his belt 'legit'.

I was in Scott Jorgensen's twitch stream last night and he didn't believe what Weidman said about not being in trouble/just letting Vitor expend all his energy. He thought Vitor came out looking great and better than Weidman. He said he had no idea why Vitor was not using jujitsu and trying to punch upwards.

You guys think Weidman was hurt and in big danger of being ko'd?

Sure looked like trouble to me.

All i saw was Weidman getting tagged and then intelligently covering up and negating all the incoming damage. Then he deliberately went for a takedown and crushed.

Do not think he was close to being stopped at all. Weidman have shown before that he can take a punch.

Was quite weird to see Vitor being so dominated on the ground but Weidman did very well vs the best bjj guys in the world (Galvao) after only some months of training, and he is now a black-belt so i am positive that he is just better than vitor on the ground.

love cerrone and that arlovski/browne fight was great. i was cringing the whole time because of andre's glass chin and sure enough he ate one shot and got completely dropped lol, can't believe he finished. amazing round/fight.

Not like DC / Bader is a fight I want to see, but besides him or Gus, who else could the UFC throw at him? Teixeira? OSP? If there's one guy who can maybe grind with Cormier at LHW, it's Bader.

Weidman was never seriously hurt but Vitor had a surprising amount of success on the feet , enough that I'd like to see TRTor v. Weidman.

so I had to download the card and watch it today, had a wedding last night.

There was one of my friend's new girlfriend, she basically knew as much about the UFC as I did.

She frickin corrected me when I said I think Dodson was fighting moraga or something (lol_me), but that it was moraga vs benavidez instead. Obviously with that in mind she knew all the other fights on the card as well and was pissed she couldnt watch it live.

And her brother used to be a pokerpro way back or something too, so she knew all about da double monitor grinding. (she brought it up not me ._. )

youre out of your mind if you dont think luke is the worst matchup in the division for chris by far. jacare isnt that great either. i mean anderson at the time seemed like the tough matchup but everyone thought chris was setup perfectly to beat him, and we didnt realize how diminished anderson was at the time. TRTor might have been trouble but who knows.

luke could be rough but jacare has no path to victory, and anderson+silva were the ufc kingpins for a while now (after jones). Dont think they were anywhere near the end of their peaks either.

And both cheated.

Rockhold will get taken down and dominated imo. He's a great fighter but Weidman is a much better wrestler and grappler and his striking and toughness is definitely good enough to not get into too much trouble. Just my thought on it.

Jacare would be super tough if he could take Chris down which is not impossible, but not likely. (jacare have great wrestling for a bjj guy)
Weidman would win the striking and on the ground from top.
