I just finished watching seasons 3 and 4 after my last post. My favorite episode was S2E3 when Zaboo first moves in with Vork. The whole episode is pure awesome. I'm probably going to show that one to my GF and see if she enjoys it and will watch the rest.

The webseries is absolutely hilarious - especially if you play WoW.

I'm looking for a new RPG to play for when I need a break from poker. I'd prefer something that's fairly recent (last 2-3 years) than something old school. I'm hoping someone can recommend something or point me in the right direction. Here are some RPGs I've liked:

Final Fantasy 7-9
Baldurs Gate 1/2
Diablo 1-3
Breath of Fire 3

I played Dragon Age Origins when it came out and thought it was very average, fun, but not something I'm looking to repeat (ie with DA2).

I haven't been following latest releases or anything for about 18 months now so I don't really know what's out, what's good, etc. I have PC, xbox 360 or ps3 to play the game on but would prefer PC > PS3 > Xbox. Thanks for any help!

Probably go with Mass Effect 1+2 or Fallout 3. I'm surprised you didn't like DA:O with your past interests though.

I enjoyed Mass Effect 1 a lot, but disliked ME 2 with a passion.

Can you really dislike something with a passion? Seems like that would just mean you hate something.

The most amount you can dislike something before you hate it is probably the point at which you dislike it with a passion.

Where does "I really dislike ME2" fall?

I think it would fall to the point where you really don't like it, but not enough to the point where it makes you full tilt rage.

I'm a slow pony but I was going to say this. I'd think you would really like the two Trikkur mentioned though.

I'm a couple of hours into Mass Effect and I don't really like it. The story seems fantastic and I kinda wish it was a book/movie/tv series rather than video game. I might finish it but I guess I wanted more of a traditional RPG.

I'm thinking of trying Neverwinter Nights, I know it doesn't fit my "last 2-3 years" category but if the gameplay is good enough I'll probably be able to overlook it.

I tried NWN for awhile then got a few hours in and realized that my character was totally gimped because I got the Charisma or intelligence and wisdom stat confused. Didn't feel like suffering through the game anymore and didn't want to restart.

Waiting for skyrim now.

I enjoyed ME1, but I'm worried about some of the negative feedback about ME2. I almost bought it yesterday for $12, but decided I will give Red Dead Redemption a playthrough before I worry about ME2.

Hoping to get some work done and start RDR tonight.

RDR is dope, ME2 is good also but I never played ME1 since it wasn't released on PS3.

For $12 ME2 is a damned fine game. Combat is better, everything else is a little worse imo. Not to the point that it's bad though, just not up to the standards of ME1.

Any advice on how to speed up download times on the ps3?

Downloading an update now and it's 17 mb, 9% done with 92 minutes left.....for 17 mb. It also seems to take all the bandwidth with it but doesn't use it as the wireless on my laptop slows down to a crawl when the ps3 is downloading something.

Xbox and Wii are in same room and have no problem.

If you're connected via wireless, get an ethernet cable. Or put aluminium foil across the back of the router to reflect the signal back into the main part of the room, apparently this does work a bit.

I don't have any suggestions, but I have this problem too.

If I try downloading a demo on my PS3 it pretty much sucks up the bandwidth and brings the rest of the internet to a halt. There were times that I would download something, try doing something on my computer, and have to cancel or pause the download because I just couldn't do anything on my computer.

Also, my downloads on my PS3 tend to get hung up or stuck if I don't give them an opportunity to just run untouched.

I don't use my Xbox that much, but I've downloaded demos on my Xbox and you wouldn't even know it, along with the fact that it seemed like it was a lot faster.

Any suggestions for rpg or mmorpg apps for iphone? I prefer the grinding, item hunting, power level types instead of the play each level one time and follow along with a story type.
