Roger Wilco is free and needs no paid hosting server. Works perfectly. It's my choice of com when others don't pretend TeamSpeak.

I still can't believe that after the GameCube Nintendo just decided to stop making real gaming consoles and came out with the gimmicky motion-controlled Wii. I just want to play my zelda games on a normal controller with decent graphics, yo.

I kind of like that there are more options in the video game world. Shiny graphics and high-responsiveness game play are for the PS3 and 360. Granted, you can't play Zelda on those platforms, but you have to give Nintendo credit for pioneering a new type of gaming interaction.

I'm a little disappointed that Nintendo still feels like the "kid's" gaming platform, but I still have respect for them for doing something that hadn't been done before, even if it means they had to spend more money on R&D than putting HD hardware in to their system. On a side note, I still think it's ridiculous that it doesn't even play DVD's.

I never played Twilight Princess because it was still $50 two years after it came out. I played about an hour of it on a friend's console and was impressed with the new playstyle. But I don't disagree that it would probably be easier and arguably "better" (depending on how you define that) with a standard controller.

So use the classic controller or any GameCube controller.

Honestly I just really, really badly want to play some Zelda right now. Twilight Princess is the only one I haven't played but I'm not going to buy a Wii for it. I'm trying to get a Wii emulator to work on my PC, with no luck.

And it saddens me that Nintendo decided to basically, as you said, make a kids' console for a generation. And obviously the only value that a Nintendo console has to me is being able to play Nintendo titles on it. For everything else, a PS3, 360, or PC just the job just as fine.

I don't think this is the only generation of console where Nintendo has been the "kids'" system.

Agree. It feels like this is the first generation (despite some notable exceptions such as the GTA series) where games have been designed for and marketed to adults moreso than kids.

I can't really back that up with anything other than anecdotal evidence, however.

If only they had released Twilight Princess for Gamecube...

I always forget about the fact that Twilight Princess was released on both systems.

If you are looking for a challenge you could also try out the fan made remake of LttP called "Zelda, Parallel Worlds." It is pretty well done, but very difficult

Well it makes some sense. This is the first adult generation that grew up with console home gaming systems. It makes sense that my dad isn't a big video gamer, but that I might play them.

I just signed up for gamefly and noticed there's like 2-3 additional GOW games but for the PSP. Why are all these other GOW games released on the PSP and not the PS3? Are they just not as good or what? The GOW games are my favorite games.

Edit: Mods thank you for just merging the post.

Probably going to go this route. I got the emulator working on my PC but playing with a keyboard just doesn't feel right. I'm a bit surprised at how high the prices of GameCube games still are. Used TP is going for $25-35 on Amazon.

Recently setup my router to give my xbox a dedicated ip, port forwarding and all that stuff because I was having trouble getting it to connect to my internet recently.

That fixed the problem with connecting.

But it created another one, I can't sign in directly when I turn my xbox on. I have to go to the test connection screen first, do the test, back out to the dashboard, and then sign in.

Any suggestions?

I had this exact same problem. Never found a solution . Only got fixed when I switched to a different router. I was using the WRT54GL with DD-WRT firmware. Switched to a modem/router when I went to a different ISP. The WRT54GL is way way better than the ****ty modem from my ISP, but not auto-signing in to live was a deal breaker.
